Rika Izumi: Few more recent smatterings....

 

 Not a huge post as Rika just had one thirteen days ago. But she does deserve a thanks because if it wasn't for her then the only post for today would have been a drama recap. The posts for my bigger faves seem to be picking up a bit the last few weeks and hope it continues but have noticed a trend with them that began last year. While all of the posts are superb along with the pics in them have kind of fallen into a bit of a rut but least it's a good one. Hasn't been enough variety in the non-Idol posts the last three months and perhaps that still has to do with the lingering crisis in Japan. Hate to say it but Rika is the biggest offender, all of her posts have contained some terrific modeling pics but wish we saw a few more different kinds of things, perhaps a return to her gravure days!?

 Have always said that Rika's regular modeling pics are so much better than viewing ones of scantly clad Idols but have to admit I do miss pics like the above. She hasn't done a gravure spread since her second photobook came out two years ago and with her being 33 in age maybe we've seen the last of them. But Rika will always remain such a huge fave of mine, she's been in the top six on the yearly faves lists five years in a row and that streak may never be broken. Will be doing my second 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list this Summer, for a while thought she'd be in contention for the #1 spot but that's not going to happen, she'll probably end up between third and sixth which is still impressive.

 Let's get on with things and the vast majority will be new modeling pics but of course all are terrific. But will begin off with an oldie set which to my surprise had never been posted before. This is one of Rika's oldest mag spreads which is from the April 20, 2017 issue of Tokyo Walker Plus.

 As I've mentioned many times in the past some of my top Rika pics are from when she attends events but she's only been at two this past year, the restrictions on them have hurt her more than most others. In her next post will have info on her next drama which begins on April 5th, first batch of modeling pics is for the Stola Spring collection and had many more in her last post.

 This is Rika's 74th post and what's impressive about that is she didn't have her first one until July 2017, think only two others have had more posts since then. Continuing on with the new modeling pics and she should be busy with Spring collections coming out, this batch is from the Apuweiser site.

 Rika's modeling pics are always fabulous, it's her mag spreads from the last year which all look the same to me and it could be because she seems to appear in only two mags. One of them is Bijin Hyakka and this set is from their February edition.

 Rika has been a model for Oggi for almost three years but only had these new pics at their site.

 However will be ending off with a huge spread for their Mach issue, for at least the tenth time she graces the cover for the magazine. Rika does have this ongoing series for Oggi which is of her trying her hand at golf, she's up to seven videos and after the pics is number five.
