As promised last week do have their first post of the year! October 2nd was the last group post and that's almost six months ago, there was a large gap before that post too. I've moaned the last two years on how it's been so difficult to do posts for Keya and still can't understand why. They can't use the virus as an excuse as how many group/solo posts have there been for Hina and Nogi the last two years? Least there's been a fair amount of solo posts since November which I actually enjoy doing more, Hono above just had one for her photobook which will be one of the most popular posts of the year. But if all goes well will have 2-3 of these group posts next month and while it may seem I like Hina a bit more to me the members from Keya(Sakura) are my bigger faves. Such as Rena who just had her third solo post a few days ago, I'm really liking her and if all goes well she'll have another post next month.
"Samidare yo" is the title of Keya's 12th single and fourth since the name change to Sakura. It'll be coming out on April 6th and would think we'd be seeing many activities to promote it but that hasn't been the case in the past, these are covers for the single. In some bad news group captain
Yuuka won't be appearing on the main song. She's going to be in a stage play and didn't feel she had time to be in that and promote the single. That's a shame as she's been a fave of mine for so long, nothing for her in this post but there will be in the group's next one. The group has their own YT channel so here's the link to it if you want to view some of the videos from the new single:
Keya's YT channel
Right above is
Risa and it'll be her final single as a Keya member as she'll be leaving in probably May, She too had a solo post last week and no Idol has had more of them in the last four years. In some more bad news she announced yesterday she caught the virus so hope she's healthy by the time the single is released. Last Monday which was March 21st four Keya members were at the Spring 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show, had many pics in two solo posts. Another member who was there was
Mizuho but won't have any of her pics from the show today. Instead have some better looking pics which are from the
Classy site and she's a model for them. She also used to model for the
JJ magazine but that closed down about a year ago and way too many sites/mags are no longer around.
Will try to get to most members in these group posts save for the gals who usually have solo ones. I can remember the period from 2017 to early 2020 when rarely a week went by without a member appearing in a magazine. Those days are long gone as there's been such a decrease in them and bet there hasn't been ten spreads the past five months! So here's an older one that I never had a chance to post until now which features
Rika from the November issue of
Entame.
Promo pics for the 'Uni's on Air' web game to me are so fabulous as viewers have noticed and try to include them in all Keya/Hina posts. Have four members for today, eight pics each from for February and Easter. First off is the group's vice-captain
Rina who is someone I really, really like. She did have a solo post about four months ago but even doing that proved to be a chore and I'd like to have so many more for her. Following her eight pics is the first generation member
Fuyuka who we seldom see in these posts but there's some screenshots of her at the bottom of the post. Wouldn't shock me too much if she ended up being the last 1G member to graduate.
This second batch of game pics starts off with Minami who to me is the most adorable '46' member of all time! Think viewers may agree with that as her solo posts have always been popular and it's a shame there haven't been more. Speaking of popular Hikaru certainly is and she has the second set of eight pics, at 149.8 cm she's the shortest of any '46' member but she is so overly kawaii....
While it's not a huge amount would say over the last year Hikaru has appeared in more magazines than any other member. This superb set is from the January 1st issue of Weekly Shonen.
She and a trio of members will be in the May issue of BLT, hopefully can have that in the next post.
Final segment and here's something I haven't posted about for a while, even when there were group posts last year. That's of Keya's "Soko Magattara Sakurazaka?" variety show which airs Sunday nights. There was a team that had subbed this show for years but think it was last July when they aborted the project. Someone else picked it up but it was from a site I didn't want to join but finally found a place that has the subs for this show. That was over two months ago but still didn't watch the episodes for a good reason but it's a personal one. If there's one thing I can't stand at events or on variety shows is when Idols or anyone else wear those safety/mouth guards. You can't see their faces clearly and to me it's just so annoying. So up until February the members were wearing those on the shows which is why I wasn't viewing them but finally they ditched them five weeks ago!
So because of the above won't make this much of a recap but you can view everything that took place in the fifty screenshots which go in order of the action. This is not a must watch variety show but it's the only chance to see the members in a 'live setting' which is why I enjoy viewing this show. I really think Yui is a natural when it comes to these kinds of shows and wish she had her own, actually would rather see Keya finally have another drama. Risa always looks tremendous in these shows but too often she's just too darn quiet which she's admitted to in the past but did open up a bit more in this show. The theme was 'A day to express your gratitude' to another member. What that meant was to give thanks for another member who really helped someone else out but they hadn't properly thanked nor was their good deed known to most members. Decent enough show, this was #70 which aired on February 27th and in future posts will also be having screenshots with more of a recap but if you view the screenshots you may not need me to explain things.
