Nanase Nishino: Her once in a lifetime 'Happy 28th Birthday!' post....

Not that time of the year yet but never too early to give you a hint of what might look ultra fine in my stocking! Doesn't seem that long ago when there used to be 3-4 birthday posts a month but this is just the second since April 1st though they're really the same as any other post. Few days ago was mumbling about how long would this blog continue(?) and that was in a post for someone who will be turning thirty shortly. Seems so many of my huge faves are now in the 28-34 years old range and how many of them will still be having posts a few years from now? Sure some will but also know that many won't and guess how long I'll be continuing will depend a lot on what happens with those older faves. Of course there's nothing wrong with the gals in the 24-27 years old range as there's many of them who I post about but these days do prefer the slightly older woman who have had many posts lately.

Birthday #28 does take place today and am usually a few days late with doing a post. This has been Nanase's slowest year ever for posts as it's just he third regular one since January 1st but think there may be a pair next month. Had a feeling there would be a slowdown as in March Nanase 'retired' from being a model with the Non-no magazine after seven years. That kind of bummed me out as her pics for them were always terrific and she used to have twenty or so pics at their site every month along with appearing in their monthly magazines. But she has kept busy with acting which seems to be Nanase's main line of work these days as she's currently in a drama and has a film coming out next month. So few Idols remain stars after they graduate but that hasn't been the case for her and can really only think of one other current ex-Idol who has remained very popular after leaving their group.

What's also rare is that Nanase is one of the very few Idols who I like more after they left their group and wonder if there's any Nogi fans that feel the same way? Speaking of Nogi they did hold a pair of tenth birthday concerts about ten days ago and Nanase made an appearance, first time she's performed in over three years. Do have that concert but not going to post any screenshots from it and am mainly just skimming through it. What bothers me is these fourth and fifth generation members doing songs they had nothing to do with, the first two generations did all the work to make Nogi so popular so in a way I think of these new members as kind of a 'cover group'. Do have a few pics from her show and though it'll never happen wouldn't mind seeing some sort of reunion concert.

No new birthday pics for this year yet so how about a few oldies but goldies....

Nanase will be in a film coming out on June 17th titled "Koi wa Hikari" so expecting her to be much busier promoting it. There was a recent event for it and will end the post off with pics from it. She's also started doing interviews for the movie and this batch of pics are from the Model Press site, she also talks about her current drama and a stage play, here's the link to it: Model Press site

Just one new mini spread and it's kind of odd how she's dressed the same as the above pics, this small set is from the May issue of Up Plus.

Think Nanase will be the cover girl for a June issue of Young Magazine as these are new pics from their site.

Nanase is now a model for the fashion line Tods but doesn't have nearly the amount of pics she had when with Non-no. This small but superb pics were getting a bit dated as they were from a mini event held in March for the company.

So because there was just that one very small new mag spread let's go back in time for this fabulous set from the January 5, 2021 issue of Flash. Nanase remains very popular as she was the cover girl and as I was musing about how many ex-Idols do you see on the cover  of a magazine?

To end off have this batch of pics which are from the first event held for the "Koi wa Hikari" film, that comes out on June 17th and the event took place on May 16th. As you can see Nanase was dressed in  her usual conservative style but wouldn't mind seeing her 'vamp' it up on occasion. Like so many films and dramas from the post five years it's based upon a manga and can't writers in Japan come up with any new ideas? There are some videos of the event but instead of having one of them after the pics have the trailer for the film, it's a love story but one that looks entertaining with some quirkiness in it.
