Nao Kanzaki: Nao's 'Top Twenty of All Time Faves' list #2.... the rambling intro post....

 

 For the past month have mentioned often that I was going to have an intro post or two for this second list but for some reason it just took me so long to finally sit down and do it. Doing posts like this really help me out as there's some things I may have forgotten about and writing thoughts down can jog that old memory of mine! So today is July 20th and will start on the countdown in a little over two weeks, either August 6th or 7th. The first ten positions will be done in August, then the top ten in September. The posts will all be superb though will admit for about five faves there may not be as many new pics as I would like, perhaps close to zero on occasion!

 Will explain why in each of their posts and there's not much criteria to make the list, in the first one done four years ago the only requirement was to be 23+ in age. Kept that the same but expanded it a bit to make things fair. Because if someone turned 23 on August 1st they would be eligible but if a fave turned 23 on October 1st they wouldn't? So that didn't sound too fair to me so the rule is as long as you turn 23 by the end of the year you're eligible and that did mean one huge fave could make the list. To make it simpler to understand as long as someone was born before 2000 they could make the list, no one born after would have anyway. So in four years there's been so many changes and will discuss a few of them today. Right above is Saki who was #1 on the first ever list, she's been so quiet the last few years but she is still such a massive fan of mine so will make the top ten, not too much of a drop. In the second position was Minami and she too is someone whose name isn't mentioned often around here yet she too should make the top ten.

 So from that first list just six will also be on this one but it's not a case of my faves changing too, too much. So on that first list done back in August/September 2018 there were a lot of women who hadn't done much the previous year or so. That's okay for they were such huge faves of mine for so long they really did need to be included on that list. But now it's four years later and just so many haven't done much of anything since that list was done. Some have gotten married and had children which adds up to be five faves(!), three others have also gotten married. Then a few really haven't done much of anything or in the case of these two have kind of lost interest in them the last two years. So wish there hadn't been many changes but there was no way around it but comparing the two lists I think this one will turn out to have a much stronger set of twenty faves.

 Few days ago said who will be on the list was complete. That wasn't quite true as nineteen spots are certain but can't decide who will be #20, least there's still seventeen days to mull things over. So what it is are these four are in the battle and what a difficult choice it is, guess for now the bottom gal would have the slight edge but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

 The woman who had an easy spot locked up was Haruka but use that in the past tense. She has turned into one of my biggest disappointments ever and that's really saying something! For the last three years she's been in the top ten for the yearly faves list and and figured she may have been as high as 12th for this all time list. That won't be happening and one reason is because of the many dramas Haruka has been in this year. Of course I enjoy watching my top actresses in dramas but it is possible to be in too many of them, she's been in three this year with another coming up in the Autumn. So you can get a bit tired of seeing the same faces on the screen all of the time, it also meant Haruka became a bit one dimensional as she rarely appeared at events, in magazines, did modeling pics, etc. but there was one thing that topped everything off. Which is how many knew that in early June Haruka released her first album? Bet not many did as it died a quick death and didn't even make the top one hundred for sales. There was ZERO PROMOTING for it such as doing interviews, singing on shows, an event or some videos from the album, why did she bother releasing it???? Hate to sound so negative for someone I've liked for many years but Haruka has changed this year and not for the better unlike many of her peers, think her agency has been giving her some unsound advice.

 Had been thinking those thoughts for a few months and just wanted to get them off my chest, it's very rare when I say so many negative things about a huge fave. We're at the end and so when the list begins around August 6th think most will really enjoy it though you may be surprised at a few selections and why someone ended up so high. You can always comment on who your biggest faves are, you can just list your tip five, ten or whatever. So in those posts try to have as many new pics as possible so what that means there will be a huge slowdown on posts for those twenty. Won't affect the first ten spots too much as those posts will be done somewhat soon. But the top ten won't be done in September so after July 27th you won't see any posts for those faves, the final post until then will be for this gal's 24th birthday and can anyone topple her from the top spot....
