Akari Suda: Sigh, I give up trying not to have posts for her....

Will admit that I've failed at waiting until September to have posts for her but can you blame me?! That was going to be the case for anyone who will be in the top ten on my all time faves list but it is difficult to hold on to things for over a month. But will just have posts for two of those top ten gals and of course Akari is one as it's her second post in eight days. This is her ninth post in eleven months and while that's not many for some it's been her best stretch of posts ever. The top ten positions are mainly finalized but there is one battle and it's a close one for third and fourth. It's between Akari and Yui from Keya who just had a post two days ago, thought why not keep posting about the pair as they could be my current top two faves and with a photobook coming out she may have the edge in being in the third position on the list.

Have been doing a position every three days which means tomorrow will have a post for #16. There's also the yearly fave's list and I can't forget about that as it's the longest running list here as this will mark it's eighth year. This Sunday there's a good chance there may be the first mini preliminary post for it, will list my current top five and also everyone who is so far eligible. It'll be a combination post for I think by Sunday this blog may hit the milestone of 20 million views and never thought such a high figure would ever be attained. So that should be an interesting post and this is such a wide open year for the list as there's no one running away from the pack.

Akari finished in the second position back in 2018 and with a busy next few months she has just as good of a chance as five others at being my umber one for the year. One thing I wish there was more of her was appearing in dramas and it's been a while since she's been in one. That got me thinking that back in 2016 did a recap of Akari's appearance in the 'AKB Horror Night' series that aired in 2015, she had the lead role in the second episode. Think there were 44 in all and it took a while but last year the entire series was finally all subbed. Been thinking about going back and viewing the shows with my faves but always keep forgetting about it. It was a decent series but did have one major complaint which was how long the episodes were. Only 11-12 minutes in length and seemed once the story hit it's peak the show ended which was kind of a bummer.

Have a little bit of a lot of things once again, her posts are turning out to be the most interesting ones from the past few months. Akari used to have a column for the Chunichi Shimbun web magazine and on June 30th a mini book was released with her best columns called "My Way To Discovering Happiness". Have no clue how the sales have been but there's been four events to promote the book and sign copies for the fans, the latest one took place on August 6th.

How about more event pics but these are older ones and there's many from the past that have never been posted. This event took place on November 6, 2017 in the city of Toyohashi which is a little west of her hometown of Nagoya and where SKE is based. Akari was a the event to promote a new traffic safety campaign and was also named acting police chief for the day.

Akari's graduation concert will be taking place on September 24th and not sure how that's going to work out as there's two graduation concerts on that day! Will have more info in her next post but the other member departing SKE will be Nao, she's someone I've liked for a long time but it's been way too long since her last post. So promise to have at least one for her before those concerts, for as long as the pair have been in the group there's so few pics of them together.

Speaking of SKE five days ago they performed at this year's Tokyo Idol Festival which is a rather large one. Lot of big names were there including Hina, AKB, NMB, a pair of Hello Project groups and more. Have the video of SKE's concert and it had been so long since I had seen them in concert. They still put on such a enjoyable show but will admit I don't know all the members these days and really need to start concentrating on them again. Their performance was seven songs and 26 minutes long but it was under a blazing sun and most groups don't do long shows. These screenshots are from the performance which was quite fun and to make my day they performed "Oki Doki, how I love that tune. Akari is the only member still remaining from that single which came out in November 2011.

As mentioned so many times no one posts as many IG pics as Akari and to me all are simply superb. One of these days I will go back and pick out my fave ones from over the years for a post, these have come out within the last week and there were a few others.

There won't be a graduation photobook for Akari so hope there's plenty of mag spreads on the horizon to celebrate her time with SKE. Was really looking forward to this set from the August issue of EX-Taishu as she's had so many terrific spreads with them in the past. But the spread was a mini one as it just consisted of the final four pics but the ones above that are from the photo shoot or are bonus ones. Wish Akari had her own YT channel, to me surprised she doesn't one and bet it be terrific. After the pics is a video of SKE's performance at TIF, "Oki Doki" is the third song! Ooops, AVEX doesn't allow embedding so instead here's the link to the video: Tokyo Idol Festival
