Keyakizaka46: The seventh extraordinary.... Rena Moriya post!

 

 Seven posts in nine months and before this year Rena had only been mentioned in one Keya group post. But what a massive fave of mine she's become and don't know why I waited so long to have posts for her. Granted there are many posts for gravure models and bodacious Idols but she's the kind of woman who I'm much more attracted to and wonder how she'll fare on this year's faves list? Not #1 but think Rena does have an outside shot to break into the top five which I'd love to see, one or two more pots in this vein and it should easily happen. As a group Keya has made a nice comeback this year and to date have more solo/group posts than all of 2021. Three members will make the faves list and while the other two are my top Keya gals of all time think Rena's position may be higher than either!!!!

 Have a little bit of many things for today, the first two pics were from her photobook and will have a few more unseen pics from it towards the end. There's some breathtaking pics in the book but there's zero wrong with those two right above. Rena is a second generation member but almost didn't make the cut to be a Keya member. She did pass the audition back in 2018 but was selected as a trainee, then with all of the 2020 graduations she was promoted to a regular member and as they say the rest is history! I'm glad for that as she's one of the more likable Idols and can be hilarious on the group's 'Soko' variety show though she does try to come off as being serious which doesn't always work. First off for new pics are these from Keya's group 'Diary' blog and she doesn't post enough solo pics.

 Not many recent Keya cards and thought there would have been some for their first album under the Sakura name, this small batch came out in July.

 Rena's first photobook and hopefully not her last "Egao no Guu, Choki, Paa" was released on August 23rd. She's made the rounds doing interviews to promote it and have the link to one of them which was for Oricon which I found to be rather interesting: Oricon interview 

 Back in May Rena made her first appearance at a fashion show which was for 'Girls Award'. On October 8th she and six other Keya members will be at their Autumn show so hope to have her next post right after that. Rena's second appearance at a fashion show was the September 3rd 'Tokyo Girls Collection' Autumn/Winter show that was held at the Saitama Super Arena. She took her stroll on the 'Moments' stage and as you can see the theme was Winter clothing. 

 Stroll #2 was with four other members to promote a new Keya AEON group credit card.

 So after three weeks Rena's photobook has sold a little less than 42,000 copies. To me that's a decent number but think the sales have been lower than expected but it did have a reprint before it was released so perhaps certain sales haven't been included. Here's a few pics from the book which have never been posted and those bottom two may mean a sleepless night....

 Will end off with this new spread from the October 5th issue of Weekly Shonen and don't know if any Keya member appears on the cover more than Rena does. Last December she appeared on the mini "The Gift" show and at least four other Keya members have been on that show. It's just a two minute segment where the member buys a present for someone they really like who is often another member and I'm shocked, though in a good way, who she bought a gift for.... Rena's favorite actress?
