Maria Makino: Another... a (too)little bit of this and that....
Gulp, glad I'm not a woman for how can anyone compete with her perfectness? 😍 Hmmmm, perhaps that's the reason for the slowdown in posts as many women have visited here and viewed Maria's posts, one look at them and I'd want to give up too!!!!!
Gulp again, how come I can never find that Genie in a lamp.... think I would need only one wish! As fans may know Maria's ninth photobook is coming out in two weeks, if she stays with Morning Musume another 3-4 years she may set a Hello Project record for most books. This just a medium sized post, was thinking should I have a huge one in two weeks with about eighty pics or have two posts with about fifty new pics? The latter sounded like a better idea so expect another post a day or so after the book is released or right after an event is held for it. Have moaned often about the lack of posts for Maria but when you think about it she does have a good amount of them, her first post was done in February 2022. Since then this is her 18th post and think only one current J-Pop Idol can top that number, this is her fourth for the year which is a pace of about ten for 2023.
May has been a slower month for posts once again but not for J-Pop Idols as most of my fave ones have been quite busy the last two months. For today have over forty brand new pics plus one older spread that had never been posted. As many know Maria is such a huge Baseball fan and can't believe she's not a regular co-host or reporter for a Baseball show, she is a regular on the "Love It" variety show. This first batch are some newish MM cards for her favorite pastime.
Would expect in the next two weeks that Maria would start doing some promoting for the upcoming photobook which is titled "Dear Maria". The pics below are from a new Dragon Ball interview that came out two days ago but no mention of the book was made as Maria mainly talked about animes and here's the link to it: Dragon Ball site
Have some super duper new photos from Maria's IG page, she often dresses like a Queen and in that fourth pic is an old C-ute member. That was from a recent Morning Musume concert as the group is doing a 25th anniversary tour.
No new magazine spreads and you would think there would be some coming out to promote the photobook. So let's go back three years for this spread that had never been posted and Maria was the cover girl for the June 25, 2020 issue of Weekly Shonen.
We've hit the end too soon but it was decent sized post and will have another in hopefully two weeks. As mentioned "Dear Maria" is the title of her new photobook that will be coming out on June 10th. Maria went to Guam for the photoshoot and so didn't a Hina member who has a book coming out on June 28th, wonder if their paths crossed? To date these are the only promo pics for the book, the top is one of the covers and it makes for another sleepless night! There will be a DVD for the book but no promo video has come out for it nor are there any other new ones. After the pics have a very odd yet funny Maria video from three years ago when she was throwing out the first pitch at a Yokohama BayStars game, her toss didn't make it to the plate which would be expected the way she was dressed.
