Yui Kobayashi: Her quest to dominate the Galaxy is unstoppable!!!!

 

 Thirteen consecutive months with a Yui post and as mentioned in her last one this streak is the second longest one of all time! Think the record is sixteen so she needs a post for the next four months and seeing as how she has been my current #1 for a while will try my darndest to see she sets a new record. It is a little tougher in the Summer to do posts for J-Pop Idols, one reason is it's rare when one of those huge fashion shows are held. But Keya's(Sakura) next single is coming out in a little over three weeks so there should be many new things for her and the group on the horizon.

 So though this makes thirteen straight months with a Yui post would like to see even more! What I mean is more than one a month which did happen a few times in 2022 but that was because her second photobook was released in October and no such thing will happen this year. When I did do Yui's first ever solo post back in January 2020 did say a goal was to have one post a month. That never happened though in the 42 months since then she's had a post in 36 of them and don't think anyone else can top that. Forgot to mention in Yui's last post that she'll be appearing in her second stage play, her first was "Zambi" in 2018 which featured members from the three '46' groups. "Three Villains of the Hidden Fort" is the title of the play that opens on July 28th for two weeks and then moves on to Osaka. More news about the play in her next post but think she has the lead female role and there's two popular actors in the play so it's not a small time production.

 Let's get to things, not a huge amount of recent activities but do have some golden oldies and as usual this will be a post all fans should enjoy! One thing the members at Hina are so much better at than Keya gals are posting photos from the group blog or their personal IG page. Yui opened her own page for her second photobook and then a second earlier this year. Her pics are always super duper but she doesn't post nearly enough as this is it from the past month. Top two photos were taken in Fukuoka when Keya was there for one of their Spring tour concerts, the tour wrapped up on June 1st in Osaka.

 Ten days ago finished up recapping the "Borderless" drama from 2021 and that was a show that I recommend even if you're not a '46 fan. "Actress" is a spin off series and that just ended last week, sometime in July will start recapping the drama which looks to be much more darker than the first series. Yui is in both shows and plays the character of Kotone, skimmed through the first two episodes and her role seems to be meatier than the first series. This show is set five years after the first one ended, by now Kotone is married with a young daughter!

 What we need is a regular monthly Keya card series, that ended when they changed their name to Sakura. But there are some older Yui cards that have never been posted and this batch could be historical as these are her first ones ever from April to June 2016. She's definitely changed a bit over the years and the first few are for Keya's first ever single "Silent Majority".

 No new magazine spreads which is not surprising so let's stay with the golden oldies for one more batch. Every year the BLT magazine has a special graduation issue that comes out in the Spring for Idols that just graduated from high school, this set is from their Spring 2018 issue 

 Can't have a Yui post without new promo pics for the 'Uni's on Air' web game, these are for June and the theme was Hidden Gig.

 We've hit the end and for the finale have some new ultra terrific pics from the With site. There's one member from the three '46'' groups who take turns being their Idol model of the month. May was Yui's month, these her pics from then and her next turn being the model of the month will be in August. In July she'll be celebrating her fifth year as a model for With and hopefully there will be some special photos for that occasion. Keya does have a new YT channel that opened on May 4th and will feature mainly videos from the members. However there's only seven posted there to date as they were on tour and probably didn't have time to create many. But Yui was the co-host of the May 27th 'Showroom' with Fuyuka and those two appear to be good friends, that video is after this batch of pics.
