Mai Shinuchi: Once again she's keeping the 'Nogizaka graduate' flame burning....

Not the largest of posts but when I want to do one for an ultra massive all time fave nothing is going to stop me! That title is right on the money as Mai has had more posts than any Nogi graduate over the last year. Been trying to do some for my other favorite second generation members but they've been so quiet the last four or so months. However may have a slightly older Nogi photobook coming up over the weekend, it's taking a while to edit the pics but you'll see it soon enough.

Mai just needs one more post to hit six for 2023 and that will mean for the third year in a row she'll qualify for the yearly faves list. In 2022 she ended up in the fifth position and who would have ever thought that would happen! There won't be an encore of that this year but if she can finish around the tenth spot that would be okay for me and think only one current Nogi member will be on this year's list. Mai also finished 12th on the 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list done a year ago, she's one of the few Idols who have remained busy after they graduated.

Have a nice mix today of some newer activities, few older things that hadn't been posted plus some encore viewings of some overly fabulous things. First off are these older Nogi cards that hadn't been posted from exactly eight years ago, August 2015, and many are for the group's Summer tour.

Can't say that Mai is extremely popular here but she does have a solid core of fans and her posts do receive so many more views than they did a few years back. No new mag spreads and there hasn't been one since March, that's common for Idol graduates. So let's go back in time once again for this golden oldie from the January 2021 issue of UTB and it's one of her best ever!

These days Mai rarely posts any photos at her IG page and think it's because she opened up her own fan site four months ago. Mai does appear in many stage plays but wish I could view her in a drama. For the third time she'll be appearing in the stage play "Atami Murder Case" but all three presentations have been a different story and she plays the lead female role of Tomoko. The first time she was in the play was January 2021, then March 2022 and today is when the third version of the play opened. Here's an interview with the Townwork site she did to promote the play: Townwork interview

As mentioned the play opened today and it's being staged at the Kinokuniya Hall in Tokyo until August 20th. Yesterday Mai and her castmates held an event to promote the play, this version is titled "Atami Murder Case Battle Royale 50's".

Mai will be appearing in her first ever movie that's titled "Okashiratsuki" which will be released on August 18th. She doesn't have the lead role but it seems her part will be somewhat big. There was a special screening of the movie held on July 22nd at the 'Skip City International D-Cinema Film Festival'. That's where this batch of photos is from and with any luck can have her next post after the film's August 18th premiere.

Will end off with an encore viewing of some pics that were in her last post, that hasn't drawn a high amount of views so many may have never seen these. On June 14th Mai released her first digital book that was called "Evolution" and it wasn't that large but least the pics were so super duper!!!! No new solo videos so will also have an encore of the promo video for this mini book as of course Mai looks out of this world!!!!
