Erika Toda: Here's someone who should never be forgotten about!

 

 Things seem to be getting back to more normalcy as of late which should continue on into October. However there's been a huge lack of posts of my favorite older or current actresses for so long. So many of the older ones have faded away to an extent, either they've cut back on their activities or have gotten married with children. But think I can do a few posts for some current ones soon and will be starting on some newer dramas also.

 Bit of a change in her looks as those above pics have a fourteen year difference!!!! Up until now when one of my faves has gotten married with children have stopped posting about them except for doing drama and movie reviews. Erika got married in December 2020 and did continue posting about her though not nearly as often as a decade ago. This May she had her first child and as mentioned that would mean no more posts for her. But as the title says she should never be forgotten about and there's nothing wrong with doing an occasional post for her. After all the 'AiToda' address is for her and Nao Kanzaki was the name of her character in "Liar Game". So if it wasn't for Erika there's a high probability this blog would have never began and she was my #1 woman for so many years. She was at an event a few days ago and has never looked better, those pics will end the post. That got me to thinking doing a few posts here and there isn't a bad thing but don't think there will be all that many.

 Plus if it wasn't for Erika I may never have become such a huge fan of Japanese dramas and films. To date have seen her in 22 dramas(!),five guest appearances in dramas, thirteen films and seven TV movies/specials. Wow, that's quite a few things and no actress will ever top those numbers! However Erika hasn't been in a drama since 2021 and was only in one film last year as she's taken a long break from acting. Sure she hasn't retired and of course she has a good reason for being quiet this year as she had a child about five months ago. So really hope she makes a return to acting next year and hopefully in some dramas. Though I've seen her in 22 of them there are a few that haven't been watched and thinking about checking out one or two of them.

 Another pair of pics above that have about a fourteen year difference and she looks super duper in both of them! Back on August 17th Erika hit the age of 35 and as mentioned recently so many of my long time faves are at that age or older. To me she may look better than ever and can back that claim up with some of today's new pics. First off are some older birthday pics, none for this year as she seldom posts anything at her IG page these days.

 Am figuring that because of her pregnancy Erika probably took a break from about March until August with her activities. She was at one event about six weeks ago but won't have any pics from that today and that may have been the first thing she did upon her return. Let's go back in time to January and this spread from Ginger, a bit after that is when she began her well deserved break.

 We next saw Erika in June as she was once again a cover girl and it was for Maquia. But it being only a month after her child was born there's no doubt the photo shoot took place in December or January.

 On to some current pics though the above weren't that old, here's another magazine spread though a way too small one from the October issue of Spur.

 Also have some brand new modeling pics which are from the Voce site, don't think she's a regular model for them but does appear in many of their magazines.

 In the 2010's Erika didn't appear in many magazines but that's all changed the last three years. She may not be as popular as she once was but is often the cover girl, one last spread for this post that's from the October issue of Voce.

 Erika doesn't appear at too, too many events and perhaps since 2019 she's averaged 3-4 a year. But since then her photos from events have topped every other woman here and have some truly sparkling ones from September 14th. When I saw these ultra dazzling pics knew a post needed to be done for her and WOW! On that date she was at an event for Cartier watches and an exhibition they're holding until October 1st in Harajuku, Tokyo. So when you view these overly perfect pics and her others from the past few years can you think of any other woman who has looked better at an event? I can't and am at a loss for words to describe how Erika looked. Even better than the photos are the videos from the event, have one at the bottom. Talked about why won't be many posts but hopefully can do one in this vein every 3-4 months, am also hoping we see her in at last one drama next year.
