Minami Umezawa: Yet another sparkling array of (somewhat)recent happenings....

While there has been a decrease in posts the last few months there has been one big plus which is that most have been for by bigger faves! A huge question could be what happened with Minami between last October and July of this year? During that almost nine month stretch she only had one post and I was getting a bit bummed out about that. But at the snap of a finger it seemed her activities went back to the level they were prior to mid-2022 and this makes four posts for her in three months. So Minami needs just one post to qualify for this year' faves list and she has made the top ten twice. This year the list will  have sixteen instead of the usual twenty so just because a woman hits the six post threshold it doesn't mean they'll make the final cut and would she?

Not the right post for my musings but there is something I will get into soon and probably in a Hina group post. Which is the semi declining of the three '46' groups and seems so many (ex) fans are just tired of the same old thing. I visit a lot of Japanese sites and it seems while all three groups are still popular it'll never be at the level it once was. Even read that a Hina member moaned a bit at their group blog that some of the concerts haven't sold out on their recent tour. Can understand why as though the groups put on a very enjoyable show there hasn't been much change in them over the years, especially with the set lists. That has nothing to do with Minami, it's not a knock on her or the other members who I do like quite a bit but as musical groups they've all become way too predictable which is such a huge negative.

Hope I didn't sound too negative or mean but as a long time fan/follower of the groups like to express my opinions on occasion and you viewers can also make comments about such matters. Just did a post for Minami less than two weeks ago and her previous one was about three weeks before that. Yet sill have quite a few recent pics plus a few oldies so this should be a post her fans will enjoy. I should say dwindling fans for at one time she was one of the more popular Idols here but not these days, she's coming close to being the most unpopular! First off is this small batch from Minami's IG page, just six photos but then again she has had a few other recent posts.

Have some Nogi cards here from earlier this year that hadn't been posted. The ones in the middle are from April while the first and last ones are for the group's 33rd and 32nd singles.

A few times a couple of years back talked about having a 'Pairs Post' featuring Minami and she's never been in one of those before. That didn't work out as planned and never will as I wanted it to be with Mai as they look so darn good together and think they were close friends at one time. However the pair will probably never have any more photos together and don't they make for an unbeatable duo????

The pair have also had two magazine spreads together, here's one from the September 2017 issue of Entame so this set goes back over six years!

Minami has been so much busier and in her last two posts did talk about some her of current activities such as being a voice actress in an anime TV series and also hosting a special variety show. I'd like to see her in a regular drama again as to me she was the best part of the 'Eizouken' drama and movie. In the last seven weeks Minami has been at four events, two regular ones and the other pair were fashion shows. Posted pics from three of those events and this set is from the fourth that took place on September 27th. There were two other Nogi members there and the trio were promoting a new JA Group campaign, that organization helps out farmers and the event was also to promote some Nogi CMs for the campaign.

Minami has always appeared in many magazines but there was that long stretch when we saw her in so few of them. To end off she's the cover girl for the October 25th issue of Weekly Shonen and she's been the cover girl for four magazines since July. After the pics is one of the CM's for the JA Group, would have loved to have had a Minami video for Nogi's latest single but have noticed they've stopped having those, that's a shame as they were usually more enjoyable than the actual single's video.
