Minami Umezawa: Her unparalleled 36th post....

 

 What a change there has been lately for Minami and that certainly brings a smile to my face as she's been my current #1 Nogi member since April 2022 though certainly am not the fan I once was. But she disappeared for a such a long stretch and had wondered what was going on though things seem to be back to normal. There was a post for her in October 2022, her next was in January for her 24th birthday which was her only one for the first six months of the year. So that meant only two posts in nine months for Minami but things have turned around as this is her fifth in 4 1/2 months. Against all odds she did end up qualifying for this year's faves list but when you go that long with no posts then making the yearly list is close to impossible. So let's hope this busier stretch continues as I really like Minami who has finished in the top ten twice back in 2020/21.

 Was thinking recently how there was such a huge decrease in '46' photobooks this year. Keya just had two, Hina only had three and if I'm not mistaken Nogi also had only three. So that adds up to be just eight books for 2023 and three were for graduations, wonder why there was such a drop off with them? On December 1st will have a Nogi book for a departed member that came out in August. Always wait at least three months before posting a book and this is one that could be close to being #1 for the year!

 Minami has my all time favorite photobook from any '46' member and it also may be my #1 of all time, how I would love to see a second book for her! Don't think there's too many sections to this post but the new pics add to be well over sixty, first off are these recent photos from her IG page. You will notice the other two team captains in the bottom two pics and they were promoting a new collaboration between the groups. Minami became Nogi's third captain back in February and what's so good about that is that it means she'll probably be with the group another 2-3 years.

 There's not going to be any of those large fashion shows until next year, Minami usually appears at them but did miss a few earlier this year. One show that hadn't been posted yet was from when she appeared at the May 4th Spring 'Girls Award' show, shame there weren't more pics.

 Wish Minami would do more work outside of Nogi, she and a Keya member are sadly no longer models for the With site. Would also like to see her do more acting as to me she was the best part of the 2020 'Eizouken' drama and movie, there's been no acting since then save for a stage play. This will be the final batch for her missed 2023 Nogi group cards which are from March.

 Probably won't have a post for her next month though wouldn't mind if it happened. Think the next one will be around January 6th as that's when Minami will be celebrating her 25th birthday. So will have these older Christmas pics a bit early and any newish ones will be in that next post, few of these have been seen before but close to ten are new for here.

Nogi does have a new single coming out on December 6th titled "Monopoly", will discuss it more in her next post. You don't see a lot of groups release a single in December and I don't know why as there's not as much competition plus you would pick up extra sales for Christmas. You know what is quite pleasing is that Minami has started to appear in many magazines again and is often the cover girl. She has that honor once again for volume seven of Model Press Countdown, it's a news site but on occasion has a special issue and some of the pics are from the photo shoot. Did have two IG pics above of Minami with the captains of Hina and Keya, the trio were promoting a series of concerts for the newest members of the groups which will take place at the Theater Milano. The first show took place five days ago and more are scheduled for December, the video of the captains is after the pics.
