Mai Shinuchi: Just because ( 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 ) who else deserves a post more than her?!!!!
Was going to wait until Sunday before doing this post, obviously am a bit early and there really was no reason for waiting until then. Very little else going on as of late so this may be the only post of the day but this is one terrific post and one of thee top ones of the year so far. It's been 3 1.2 months since the last Mai post, that was near the end of January for her 32nd birthday. She has been busy since then but too many activities aren't ones that make for interesting posts but this one for today has a huge variety of newer and older things for her dwindling fan base....
But she's not dwindling in my eyes as I like Mai 😍 more than ever and in a way leaving Nogi has turned out to be the right decision. The honors for Mai have been numerous here the last four years as she's made the yearly faves list four consecutive years, the last two she's been in the top ten and can see her making it a hat trick this year. She also had my number five fave photobook for 2022 which was impressive as that may have been the best year ever for books. Plus in 2022 she was #12 on my 'All Time Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list, if I had to create a list today bet she'd move up to the fifth position and as I've said often no one would make for a better girlfriend 😍 that her!!!!
The two pics right above and the first one of the post are outtake pics from Mai's second photobook that came out in January 2022, two weeks before her Nogi graduation. None of the trio had been posted before and how could they be considered to be outtake pics as they're so tremendous! In case you missed the post for her dazzling book have the link to it, to my surprise it's only her second most popular post as the one for her first book has 2,500 more views! "Yoru ga Aketara" photobook
No new mag spreads for today and there hasn't been any since December but do have an mini oldie set from the February 18, 2022 issue of Shukan Post that was promoting the above book.
Last Friday the Spring 'Girls Award' show was held and what a large event that's become. Of course Mai wasn't there but she has appeared at two of them in the past, this batch is from their 2018 show and she took her stroll on the GRL stage.
Lot of older pics so far but bet most viewers have forgotten about them or had never seen the pics. Mai does attend a lot of events but hasn't been at one since December to promote her 2024 calendar, it actually does seem more events take place in warmer weather. She does host two radio shows, she has such a nice voice and also appears on many variety shows. These days when posting older group cards for Idols have been keeping the current month as a theme so this large set are older Nogi cards for May and think most of them are new for here.
Did just say that Mai has such a pleasant voice and I've always wanted to see her in a drama. Or at least some sort off video series as I enjoy seeing my all time faves in 'live settings' which I prefer often over regular photos. "Atami Murder Case" was a series of stage plays that ran from 2021-23 and she had the lead female role of Tomoko in them. There's now a mini spinoff series of those plays that is airing on TVer called "Agasa" that began on April 4th and below are screenshots from the first two shows. The episodes are short as they just last nine minutes but are such an interesting watch.
In the drama everyone uses their real names so that's what Mai uses and it's a very unique show. For the cast isn't shown the script until the day an episode is filmed and everything is adlibbed plus there's no rehearsing which does make it very interesting. What happens is that a main character gets killed off at the end of each show, the objective for the remaining characters is to find out what has taken place and is any of them the killer???? The setting is a mountain villa and there was also an old HKT graduate in the series, that's her in the bottom screenshot as she died very mysteriously at the end of the second episode. Naturally this show isn't subbed nor will it be but is easy enough to understand. The videos aren't on YT but are at the TVer site, will do a post next month for her to let you know what the outcome was and those slightly torn jeans did get my heart racing....
Will end off with many Mai pics from her fan site as they are the best photos for today save for her book. Have always said no woman has better legs than Mai does and there's plenty of pics that prove me right!!!! You will notice in the second to last pic a trio of Keya members made a guest appearance on her Saturday radio show, too many terrific pics so can't pick out my top one! No new videos which isn't a surprise so after the pics have once again a short one for her June 2022 "Evolution" web book, her only photo shoot video to date.
