Mizuki Yamauchi: Has the most eagerly awaited post of the year(decade?)!!!!

 

 That's an irresistible smile and though a slightly meanish one think you may see it a few more times in the future! After the November 5th US election was finished the voters were asked what was the thing they were looking forward to the most such as a better economy, lower crime, etc.? The overwhelming majority.... 88.7%.... chose what they were looking forward more than anything else was the evil Dr. Nao 😈 finally doing his first post for Mizuki!!!! WOW, that was a bit of a surprise to me and couldn't let anyone down so am doing this a bit earlier than planned. Didn't realize that so many average folks such as mid-Western farmers checked here daily for news on J-Pop Idols so couldn't disappoint them!

 Have often said that I wish more would make comments for you never know what could happen, this post is a result of a request which was only partially filled. Mizuki released her first photobook a month ago and someone asked if I would post it. Did respond and said not quite yet as one reason is that I don't have it yet. A second reason is that I always wait three months after an Idol book has been released before posting it as not to affect sales. But did fill that request to a small extent as I'm doing this intro post for Mizuki and not sure why it wasn't done earlier this year but better late than never, most photobooks are so terrific but in a way I think posts like this kind may be a bit better. **** So if any viewer wants to make a request for something make a comment, can't fulfill all of them but will certainly try and if I can't will explain why.

 She wasn't dressed that way above but to me looks so much like a Nun and would she hear your confession(s)? Been doing many more posts for AKB members this year, all in all I like this new batch of gals much more than the superstars of a decade ago. While the group isn't nearly as popular I think their last 4-5 singles are quite good and these current members seem so much more likable. So of course that all means Mizuki is an AKB member and next month will be celebrating her eighth anniversary. She hails from Tokyo and while her height of 163 cm is just average it is kind of tall for an AKB member as they used to be such a short group. So will have a lot more bio info in future posts for Mizuki who in September hit the age of 23, at first thought this would be a one and done deal but that won't be the case! So if she does have any fans expect one more post this month plus will have another in December, figure I can go back about 2-3 years with her activities.

 Don't know if getting a bit older has anything to do with it but do prefer the slightly more conservative Idols these days. Of course there's zero wrong with dazzling gravure pics but after viewing so many tens of thousands of them they don't have the same affect as they once did. Below have some brand new pics from Mizuki's IG page and as you can see many of them have to deal with her recent photobook. There have been two events for it and will have one of those in her next post as there's about 75 photos for today and that's plenty for a post.

 There were also two AKB group pics above, they just did many concerts in SW Japan and their Halloween show was held on the island of Okinawa. That bottom pic is a poster for the upcoming drama "Love Live! School Idol Musical: The Drama" which begins on November 22nd. Mizuki will be having a large role in it and the lead will feature a Hina graduate, more info in her next post and if I do that after the 22nd may have some screenshots. Did mention Halloween above, here are a few other pics from previous years.

 One thing that is lacking are Mizuki magazine spreads, not many from over the years but will have a few coming up. Was a bit surprised there's only been one spread to date promoting her first photobook and it was from the October 15th issue of Flash but think she will be in the next edition of Entame.

 "Suki ni Naru Yokan" is the title of Mizuki's first photobook which was released on October 11th. You can't depend upon Oricon for sales numbers as they mostly consist of what is sold in stores, at Amazon it sold out within a week. Plus there's an upcoming reprint of the book and there will be an event on December 15th to celebrate that so if you hear that sales were low it's not true and nice to see it's been a success. Of course Mizuki has been doing many interviews to promote the book, below are pics from TheTv.jp site and doesn't she look so spiffy(?)! That's a word I've never used and hopefully it works as the pics are more than oki-doki, there's more pics at the site and also have the link to the interview which all fans should read: TheTV.jp site

 Mizuki also hosts an AKB radio show, it's the third one she's had and next February will be in her tenth stage play but it'll be her first in three years. Will end off with some pics promoting the photobook and I really like that first one, there weren't all that many which is a good thing for sometimes fifty super duper advance pics come out and because there's so many why buy the book? The photo shoot took place in Thailand and that's a popular destination for Idols. No decent recent videos so after the pics is one from August 28th when Mizuki hosted 'Showroom' to plug the book. EDIT: Forget that video as AVEX won't let it be embedded and that's the first time it's ever happened with 'Showroom' and why? But do have a different one which is the trailer for the "Girls Drive" movie that came out last year and featured a quartet of AKB members. It does look like a fun film so let me try to hunt it down.
