Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida....if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the rightplace(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Rui Takanashi: A little bit (lot)of this and that....
Usually take the final day of a month off and will be doing so on Tuesday which means tomorrow will be the final day of the year for posts and will try to have a pair of them. For now can't see any changes taking place with the kind of posts that ate done, after such a slow stretch they have been steadier since September and there will never be as many as there once were. One of those posts tomorrow will be for a photobook though undecided on which one to have. Will also be getting back to doing recaps for dramas, my return to them should be for the second season of "Informa" that just finished a few days ago. Perhaps that other post tomorrow will be more of me talking about American shows and have I really gotten into "Supernatural". Two nights ago just wrapped up season four and what an ending, only eleven more seasons to go which will be 245 episodes!!!!
Was hoping I could do a group post for BababaBambi this month but it didn't work out. However it could happen in January for the there will be a large group magazine spread coming out but viewers do enjoy these solo posts more. This year was very similar to 2023 as BababaBambi was so much quieter after June even though two members had a regular photobook. That's not so odd for an actress or model but is for a J-Pop group. To my surprise Rui is quite popular here and it's a shame she doesn't have more posts. She had three posts for 2024 and all had many views, an average of 768 of them. If she had the six posts that were needed to qualify for that 'Most Popular' list she would have been in the sixth position and had only four views a post less than fifth!
On a side note I miss her old mate Mio more than anyone else, she didn't leave the group until July but did no activities after their March 14th Budokan concert. She had said health issues were why she took a hiatus and never explained fully why she left BababaBambi, it wasn't because of her age which is 27 as Rui and Saeko are also that old. To say I adore Mio to no end is such an understatement and there had to be some scandal that led to her departure, she did sign with a new agency on November 1st but nothing has happened since. Few old pics of the duo and they never did a mag spread together with just the two of them.
This will be a large post though could have made it bigger, even though my fave member above did leave I still like all of the gals and really hope it's like the previous two years with many posts for the first half of the year. So am saving a few things for another solo post or that group one, will begin off with some recent photos from Rui's IG page. I think she posts some terrific pics and though not many for today often there are many of her cosplaying, the bottom four are of the group.
There were a few Christmas pics in the above batch which were from a recent photo shoot, here's a few others of Rui from past holidays.
Rui has had five solo digital books but at the beginning of October released her first ever regular book. The title of it is "Kotori Asobi", the photo shots took place in Tokyo and Kyoto. There were only a few pics to promote the book which is a good thing for sometimes there's way too many which has to make sales lower, that first pic is the cover and.... WOWOW!!!!
On October 5th Rui was at a fan meeting session at the HMV bookstore in Shibuya, on the 24th is when she celebrated her 27th birthday. Books like this one aren't expected to be huge sellers but do recall it being in the top ten for two weeks as far as sales go. Think it sold ~4,500 copies in those two weeks and bet the total is much higher as BababaBambi does perform many shows and know books are sold at those. Rui did look overly kawaii at the event as you can see in these pics from it and after them is a video which all fans should view.
Have a partial Rui spread from earlier this year, January to be exact as her and two BababaBambi mates were the cover girls for volume 20 of Young Dragon Age.
That above will lead into the final thing for this post as this time around Rui had a solo cover for Young Dragon Age and their November edition which does feature some outtake pics from the book. A DVD was included with the special edition of the photobook which features many segments from the photo shoots, that's after the pics. It is a bit long but quite good and seeing as how Rui has so few gravure videos it's worth checking out.
