This is a mini post and wrote it up in case there was nothing else to post the final two days of the month which is looking likely. Unlike the U.S. Commander in Chief there never has been a 'State of the Union' speech from me and bet most are glad of that(!) for I can ramble on for a while. Wonder why that is as it wasn't the case until this year and maybe because of the fact there were less posts? Started this on November 26th as I had a bit of spare time and will add a bit in over the next two days(one day!). Wanted to have at least one more post for this month as the 30th marks the end of the 2025 'Nao Year'. So my first musing is about the amount of posts and haven't I moaned about that this year? Yes but have been slowing down with my groans and will keep it decreasing into next year. I'm figuring there will be about 420 posts for this year and to me that sounds like a number that will be my goal in the future. That's 35 posts a month and with the size of them being so large the amount of photos and news has remained the same(perhaps more?) as in previous years but have been squeezing them into fewer posts so my inane musings #1 of three is out of the way!

Sadly above and below has been my biggest disheartening woman of the year and perhaps ever here.... well, when
Nanami left Nogi in February 2017 would be a close second. What ever happened to
Risa 😍 would make for an interesting movie as that's a question no one has an answer to! Have discussed her situation briefly a few times though won't do it too often in the future but so many of her fans which includes me are so baffled my her disappearance. Which happens often in show biz but almost always the woman gives a heads up to all saying she's retiring, getting married, switching careers, etc. But that didn't happen with
Risa and what makes it more heartbreaking for me is that she's my #1 woman of all time!!!! She was on the list done in the Summer of 2022 and had she just remained somewhat busy since then would have been a repeat champ when the list is done again about nine months from now.
The last anyone has heard of Risa was at the end of January or ten months ago, she stopped being a model for the Non-no magazine/site, closed her IG page and also did the same to her fan club. So quietly Risa slipped away without a word and I'm not going to criticize her for the way her retirement happened as Risa did say twice on Keya's old variety show how she's a very private person and often shies away from the limelight. I find it so difficult to say bad things about the women I post about and I wish certain things in my life could have been done in a better way too but many things you can't change. So I won't harp on her situation after this but how I hope Risa will make a return or at least give an update on what happened. With this departure Risa won't be repeating as my number one Queen of all time but every now and again will do a post to keep her memory alive here and she will make that next 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list. That will start next August and she could possibly make it to the fifth position even though by then it'd be twenty months with zero activities.

In the beginning did say this would be a brief post, mainly just wanted to discuss three topics for today and didn't know where else to do that, two are now out of the way. The rest of the post will briefly explain what's up with this year's faves list and I keep changing things. One was that five posts instead of six were needed to qualify for the list, that increased the eligible amount of women from a dozen to sixteen. Another is that I think the list will only consist of eight women, don't want to be like pro sports where they water things down to much to allow so-so teams into the playoffs. The posts for three of the sixteen women mainly contained photobooks, magazine spreads and other things from prior years so it didn't make much sense including them but am glad those posts were done. Such as for Sayuri and now that all of her older things have been posted can concentrate on any new happenings for her and she's someone I hope will qualify for future lists.

Another woman with many older posts was
Yuki, she had eight for the year but six of the posts were for older books and magazine spreads. So once again thought it wouldn't be fair to those women who did do a lot of 2025 activities but am also glad I could do posts for her once again. That's because
Yuki has been such a favorite of mine for over a decade, am now caught up with most of her 2021-25 activities so hope
Yuki will remain a busy woman for a while. She will be hitting the age of 35 next year so of course we may not see many more gravure photobooks or mag spreads but
Yuki has now almost assured herself of a spot on the next 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list with those eight posts and just about every women on that list will be thirty or over in age!
A disappointment will be of
Iori not making the list and she had been in the top eight the last two years. This was turning out to be her best year to date and by July 9th she was up to nine posts but unlike other years when they came in batches the posts were spread out. However she hasn't had a post since July 9th and it's another question of what happened to her?
Iori did have a mag spread in September and think a digital book in early August but that's been it for five months, she hasn't retired or stopped modeling so where has she been? Couldn't do a post for her on November 26th and wanted to as on that date she celebrated birthday #28.
But it's not all gloomy here as there were many more bright spots than disappointments and I try to always stay upbeat. Too often I talk about the amount of posts, of course having many is helpful for lists but not always and having them on a consistent basis is the key. For instance if a woman had eight posts in two months and zero besides that she wouldn't make the yearly faves list. But if those eight posts were spread out where the woman had a post every 6-7 weeks that's often the difference between making the list and not doing so. A perfect example over the years has been
Mai 😍 who in 2022 had fifteen posts and finished in the fifth spot on that year's list. But in the years of 2020/21 and 2023-25 she's averaged a little over eight posts a year but 2025 will mark the fourth time in those five years she made the list! I was working on a post for
Mai earlier and her post should be the first one to lead off this year's countdown so her position will be number eight.
****Ooooh, almost forgot to say the list may begin a bit later this year and was thinking of December 10th and conclude it on the 22nd which means eight positions in thirteen days. Some gals have not been too busy recently so want to take some time and accumulate as much as possible for everyone as I try to make those posts rather large. So everything was rosy about this section and the next one is even more positive!
That's because making the top comeback of the year was
Yui and I'm one who tends to root for the underdog. I have said in almost everyone of her eighty solo posts how
Yui is the most likable woman I've ever posted about and I enjoy doing posts for her over anyone else. But they were becoming tough to do as for a while I thought
Yui may have retired after graduating from Keya in February 2024 and we didn't hear from her for sixth months! I was so down in the dumps but she made a return but still wasn't all that busy or least compared to her ancient Keya days! But beginning in March it seems like the old
Yui has returned, I've noticed how much more happier she's been looking and she's had a dozen posts in the last nine months. So even when the going gets tough as far as creating posts go which is often the case these days
Yui making a solid comeback brightened my days. She was my #1 top positive of the year for blogging and while I'm not sure of what position it will be she'll finish in the top five.
Final section and that will belong to this year's number one woman who is on a battle with the above massive fave to see who will be my all time #1 Queen when the next list is done. At first wasn't looking forward to that as I thought it would be so hard to create but that's no longer the case. It's been no secret that
Akari will be my number one woman of the year, her second time in three years! The other big news for
Akari this year was that she tied the record for most posts in a year which is 26, she equaled
Nene who had set the record in 2022 and she too will be on this year's faves list. Could have squeezed one more post in for
Akari but I'd rather see two of my all time women share a record but it's also been a slower stretch recently for her. But was thinking of having
Akari have the first post of December for the post of her being #1 for this year wouldn't happen until the 22nd and she'll be going into 2026 as the favorite to once again be my Queen for the year!!!!
