Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Miku Tanaka... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Akari Suda: Who better to lead off the.... 15th 𝙉𝙖𝙀 π™”π™šπ™–π™§!!!!

After I wrote that title was curious about that first year here which was 2011 but after viewing some posts began to delete most of them! At the time had the pictures linked to my Photobucket page as I didn't know you could upload photos here from your computer. The pics in almost all of those 2011 posts are unviewable due to PB putting their logo on them unless you paid, I didn't nor did most others using that service and is that site still alive? I will continue to delete most of those old posts from 2011 and also some for 2012 but want to take see if any deserve to be done over but sure the total won't be all that many. Which means things didn't get rolling here until 2012 and that's why I used that 15th 'Nao Year'. I don't expect any major changes coming up which is a positive, won't moan nearly as much about how the posts have dwindled because of so many of my favorite women slowly disappearing and will just keep trying to to the best I can with what's available.

Have said before how I feel like a Dinosaur at times as most of the blogs that dealt with the world of Japanese entertainment are no longer around. I used to enjoy visiting other sites or blogs and bet most of you viewers did too but sadly most have become extinct which is why I feel like a Dinosaur. Still have no clue how long this blog will remain alive, didn't back when I started it in 2011 and would have bet my life this blog would have ended years ago! In a way I actually enjoy doing these posts more than I did five years ago, they're tougher to do but you get more satisfaction then when you complete a super duper post! And remaining active when other sites have died out has meant an increase in viewership but never an increase in the amount of views an Akari post receives!!!! She'll be my number one Queen again this year and the countdown will commence around the tenth of this month plus will have some other lists before December ends such as the who were the most popular women and posts plus that series on my current drama and movie watches will continue on.

Wrote most of this post up on November 28th so could have published this then or the next day, almost always take the final day of a month off. So this could have been Akari's 27th post for the 2025 'Nao Year' which ended on November 30th and didn't want to see that happen. If you haven't been reading her posts and most of you here don't(!) Akari's 26 posts tied the yearly record for posts and I wanted to see a tie remain between two of my ultimate faves. Back in 2022 Nene set the standard for having 26 posts and for some reason really didn't want to see it broken but if the same situation arises next November will do a 27th post for Akari. If she reaches that total she'd almost be assured of being my #1 Queen for the third time in four years, she had a second place finish in 2024!

No one has had more posts than Akari since the Spring of 2022, this makes it seventy posts in a 3 1/2 year stretch which is an average of 1.7/month with the pace increasing every year. Akari's posts are always huge and this one will also be but how much longer can this frantic pace keep up? Am starting to run out of older things that had never been posted before and it's getting harder to find rarities though my hunt for things never ends and will confess I do enjoy my search as after all Akari πŸ˜ is my all time number one woman! The countdown for the 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list will begin in nine months or right around August 1, 2026. Currently Akari is my top woman and has been for a while but there's an ex-Keya gal lurking in the shadows and I do want to see someone put up a decent fight to be number one! Think December 22nd is when this year's countdown for my top favorite women should conclude and as mentioned it will be Akari. Today is the first and would rather not go three weeks without a post for her so may have another in ten days.

Of course there will probably be a huge amount of photos for today though while gathering everything for the post in a way it doesn't seem as large as others though I'm often mistaken. This year will try not to have as many Christmas cards as I have in the past for ex-Idols, after a while have to repeat having them in posts. So below have a batch of Akari cards that hadn't been posted before and they're SKE ones for December which has the fewest cards of any month for every Idol group! Which does make sense and it's why there haven't been more of these posted before as Christmas cards are released for this month and very few for December without a holiday theme to them.

Did find some extremely older cards from 2011-13 for X-Mas so will have those as a stocking stuffer in that potential December 22nd post. Even more golden olden newbies here from late November 2018 from an SKE radio show that aired on MBS and was called 'Tokai'. It was a long time running show as it aired from April 2018 until September 2021, Akari would host the Monday night show. This show I wasn't aware of until yesterday and there's still plenty of terrific pics at the show's site.

Akari has two events coming up this month to promote her 2026 calendar, think the first is on the 12th so if there are many photos from it that may be the best time for her next post. Did mention in the beginning I'm starting to run out of Akari's older things that had never been posted before, still have many cards though and pics like those above. However the cache for unseen magazine spreads here seems to have dwindled to zero though will try to hunt down a few more but for today will have to have a repeat of an older spread though of course it's a fabulous one from the October 2017 edition of Bomb and there's an excellent reason for seeing it again as it also featured someone who was so darn close to being another mega fave of mine and has been Akari's best mate for almost a decade.

That someone is Yuria and have often said how I was going to do a 'Pairs Post' for the duo but will I ever get around to it? At this point will say no but that's not written in stone and got the idea for that spread as Yuria is in some of Akari's new photos from her IG page. There's more than usual and these only go up until November 26th, the pair had gone to the Nagoya Public Aquarium. You'll also see more pics from Akari's November 8th fan club event where they celebrated her 34th birthday and also some from a November 17th mini event for Suntory beer and how Akari loves her spirits!!!! Of course Akari looks tremendous in all of the photos but my favorites are five through seven....

There's 44 photos in the above batch and was going to end off the post with those but though it isn't so this post seemed a bit too small to me. So will once again end off with some dazzling Akari πŸ˜ pics in the hopes it will gain her new fans, rarely seems to work but her posts are slightly more popular than they were a year ago. There is one new video but will skip having any for today and that's a shame as it could have been one of Akari's better ones. The reason for skipping it is that I despise the way YT now dubs so many videos with a person speaking Japanese into English, those are so drab and overall just so horrible! Why did they do that and not give us the option of retaining the original language, does that mean a viewer in Japan may have to watch a video of that person speaking English????!!!!
