Welcome to this Baka's blog on his fave Japanese Pop Culture interests.
Welcome to my humble site....
Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Miku Tanaka... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida....if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the rightplace(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!
Wouldn't call myself overly stubborn but could be to a slight extent. As far as blogging goes my being a bit stubborn is that there's a core of women who are just heads and tails above most others here, perhaps about ten would be in that group which isn't all that many considering how many women I've done posts for. The main point is that when I want to do a post for one of those ten nothing will stop me(!) and if you've noticed over the last few years nothing does!!!! Leading that pack just could be Mio 😍 and and have said often how I fell for her within a nano second of laying eyes on her which was in August 2019.
EDIT:Will be taking tomorrow off but that's from just publishing posts. Have been taking too long in starting on the recaps for the "Sukeban Deka 1' drama from 1985 even though I finished watching the first two episodes a few days ago. At times it takes me a while to get motivated on beginning a new project so tomorrow will finally be tackling it and don't want to use the excuse again that there were other posts to write up.
But didn't do her first post until the following year and now that I think about it this is about the fifth anniversary of Mio's first ever post but didn't plan any kind of celebration. Actually just doing a post for her these days is worth having a celebration for but Mio's last post was done just five weeks ago, odds are close to nil it could happen but would love to have a post a month for her. Still don't know the true reasons Mio left BababaBambi, she said is was because of some health issues but in all honesty do wonder if that was the case. Speaking of BababaBambi it's been a while since a member has had a post, there's hasn't been much new from them which means a slew of mag spreads and books should eb coming out soon. Mio did try out for Nogi and am thinking it had to be in 2015 when the third generation auditions were held. Obviously she didn't make the cut and wouldn't her future have been so much different but wonder if it would have been better?
Mio is only so-so popular here but much more than she was from 2020 to about mid 2023. For that period her posts were only receiving 350-400 views and in one post title did call her the Most Unpopular Woman here!!!! But things have gradually changed, her posts will never get the amount of views that some (ex)Idols get but most of those older posts are now close to a thousand views or over so looks like the push I've given Mio over the years has paid off. These days posts such as this one may now get 500 views so that's an increase and bet she does have a medium sized and loyal fan base here. The two pics below are from Mio's first and only regular photobook, though not a gravure model have said a few times if Mio 😍 did become one she would immediately become my number two model of all time and perhaps would have a chance at being number one!!!!
Don't know why but there's about five woman who I can't stop talking about when I start on these kinds of posts though don't think it's a bad thing. So after Mio left BababaBambi she didn't do much until November when she signed with a new agency. That slow stretch continued until February but her busyness has really increased as her first ever calendar came out a month ago, she opened a fan club and is currently in her first stage play since 2019. However there's been no new magazine spreads and to me no one tops Mio as far as spreads/books/gravure photos go. She's now up to 32 posts which is a decent number for five years but if that total was fifty or more than Mio would be knocking on the door to be my #1 woman of all time 😍 and that's no stretch saying that. It's not just her ultra alluringness but she's such a fun and interesting woman, she was a very popular cosplayer and loves music. She has two newish interviews which are both worth reading as that's when you'll see what an enjoyable gal she is.
There's not a huge amount of newish photos for today which is one reason I tend to make her intros a bit longer than most other posts. One thing Mio has always excelled at is posting pics to her IG page, these below are from the last three weeks and there were a few others. First pic is the cover of her first ever calendar, second is for a fan club event for Mio's 28th birthday which occurs on June 10th. The third one is for that new stage play and and so aren't a few others at the end, did notice that a pair of women who I have done posts for are also in the play. The key woman being Ruka who has rapidly become one of the most popular women here and will have a post for her within the week.
"Nineteeeen Girrrlz 9" is the title of the current stage play, she'll also be in one opening in June. Mio has done a pair of interviews to promote the play and hope she can soon land a role on a regular drama as I've never seen her in anything. The photos below are from the Shueish site which publishes the WPB magazine.
Second up for Mio interviews features this set of pics from the RBB Today site. Also have the link to it and in the interview it did say it was her first stage play. Back in 2019 Mio made a guest appearance for two nights in the "Konoeno!" play so while not her first play this is her first major role in one.
Don't have any new magazine spreads and to me Mio's 'comeback' won't be 100% complete until she begins to have some gravure spreads and/or books. Photos such as those aren't the only reason for adoring Mio as pics like those above are terrific but no one has beaten her pics from the last four years. First up is a real oldie but goldie and is from the July 2020 issue of BLT, figure most hadn't seen this spread before and at the time Mio was about 23 in age.
Mio did play some bass at a few BababaBambi shows, wonder if she'll continue her music career? Second up for better than perfect spreads is this set from the January 2021 edition of Entame.... how about that bottom pic.... WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!
Will end off with some truly sweltering pics of Mio 😍 and I have too many of them to count! Sure most are shaking their heads with how much I adore her but I don't care and where's that Genie in a lamp with my wish?!!!! Back on February 24th Mio had an event to promote her 2025-26 calendar, a week after had a post with many photos from it. But at the time there was no video but there is now and that's after this final batch of pics.... ones that are too perfect to describe....
