Minami Sengoku: 𝑨 𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 'Happy 35th Birthday' 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒕

 

 Have often talked about a handful of my all time favorite photos and how I can never get tired of gaping at them. That first pic above is in that small and prestigious group, that's led off many of her posts and was unsure if Minami would ever have any more. Her celebrating birthday #35 has become common around here, least of my faves turning thirty or older. In January had a post for a long time fave who hit the age of 34, then in February had a pair of posts for gals hitting the ages of 32 and thirty. Then from July to October at least six of the gals I post about will be hitting the age of thirty, besides them another will be turning 35 plus in August an ex-Nogi member will be 32 and in September a one time NMB gal will be 33(!) so isn't that such a large group of women who are 30+ in age and bet there's a few that I left out. Surprised I can still do a fair amount of posts for many of them and that's a good thing for I can't see myself introducing any new women and in a way hope there's no need to do so.

 Minami was one of my first massive favorites and in a shocker has remained so even though her J-Pop career ended in late 2017. At times wonder what would have happened with Minami as far as rankings go and in all honesty she would have been my #1 woman on the pair of 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' lists that were done in 2018 and 2022. As far as accolades at this blog go Minami sure has an impressive collection of them and most were in a four year period. She's been in the third and second positions on a yearly faves list, was in the second spot on the first All Time list and tenth on the next one. Plus she had my second favorite photobook for 2017 and had the second best gravure videos from 2014-17, as you can see she's often been a bridesmaid. But the DVD for her 2017 "Koibito" photobook is my all time fave for a book so least she has a single number one to her name. Speaking of being a Bridesmaid Minami did get married in December 2021, a year later had her one and only child. When that happens I will cease doing posts for that woman but Minami is a special case as I still like her immensely and watch so many of her videos each month so she's the exception to the rule but I wouldn't doubt if she has only one more post after this one.

 Which would be this Summer as Minami will make the All Time list again. It'll be her third time and only one other long time favorite can boast about that and in an oddity she had a birthday post back in February. After Minami left her J-Pop group Up Up Girls in late 2017 she mainly concentrated on her acting career and we saw no gravure pics after 2017 which was so heartbreaking. Minami never became a huge star but was consistently busy and she had a few other side projects besides acting. But Minami hasn't done much since giving birth to her only child in December 2022 and that too is a reason for her posts being so infrequent. This will be a simple post and most photos have been seen here before but do have over forty new ones, want to hold back a few things for that All Time list post. Unsure of what position Minami will end up in, she was tenth on the 2022 list and you'd think her inactivity would mean she'd drop down a few notches but have a feeling that may not happen.

 Will begin off with these photos from Minami's IG page and the first one she posted today for her 35th birthday. However Minami doesn't post nearly as many as she once did and the rest of the pics go back to 2025 with the bottom two being with her best mate who has become forgotten about by many of us.

 Don't think it'll be happening this year but in 2025 Minami held a birthday party for her fan club members. A few months back I got a copy of the 78 minute DVD and the celebration was held at the Loft Heaven in Shibuya. It's a small club and for the event Minami sang many older UUG tunes, had a Q&A session and invited a few fans on stage. Most fans were males and there was no way to tell how many were at the event but know it wasn't hundreds. The gala took place on April 28th which was two days before Minami's 34th birthday and some screenshots from it. EDIT: Checked and there will be a fan club party on May 12th.

 Up Up Girls was loosely affiliated with Hello Project, the members had gone through their training but never became an official group for them. But they would often open concerts for Morning Musume and other H!P groups, UUG was such an energetic group but were just so-so popular. They're still around these days but of course all of the original members are gone. Below are some concert pics and Minami was a ball of fire on stage(!), the bottom four pics are from a joint 2014 concert with Angerme and they're a forgotten H!P group who I used to like a lot but at this concert they still had the group name of S/Mileage.

 Did mention Minami's first and only photobook "Koibito" above and the DVD for that is my all time gravure video. Here are some regular and outtake pics from the book which came out at the same time she graduated from Up Up Girls in September 2017 and she may have the most underrated figure of all time, whew!!!! Then again perhaps not as Minami's posts have been surprisingly popular here, most have well over a thousand views and some have double that so thanks for checking out older posts as most of the views seem to have come in the last few years.

 Hard to explain why but that bottom screenshot above is so out of this world and the amount of fantasies I've had featuring it!!!! Two more sections to this post and this next set of pics has Minami as the cover girl for the January 3, 2014 issue of Young Gangan. What's special about it is that it was Minami's first time as a cover girl and think she had four others. Having the spread again for a few months back acquired a mini video that came with the issue and hadn't known about it, the video was only 1:55 in length. The magazine came out right at Christmas so of course Minami was dressed as a Santa, not one of her sweltering videos but glad I watched it and after the spread are some screenshots from it. Minami could fit into a Christmas stocking as her height is only about 150 cm, she was the first shortish Idol I went ga-ga over and would be number one on any kind of list for those women whose height is 152 cm or less.

 That video had zero to do with the magazine spread which had no X-Mas pictures. Did say this wasn't going to be a massive post and this is the final section which has some ultra perfect and sizzling photos for Minami. I can never get tired of them and she only did gravure photo shoots from 2013-17, had she gone on for just another two or so years would have been my number one of all time! After the pics is Minami's most popular YT video and is also a huge favorite of mine, you'll understand why after you've viewed it a couple dozen times.... I do like her UUG mate in yellow quite a bit or at least once did and a decade ago did have a few group posts.
