Slow ending to May, would love to say June can be only better which has usually been the case for a month following a slowish one but these days I have no idea what to expect. EDIT: Wrote that and this entire post up before the below post, didn't think I would be able to start off June with two posts but was successful! Minami's departure was a bit overshadowed due to the 'scandal' involving a fifth generation member and that's a bit of a shame, I really have no clue who the 5G gal was until then but Nogi's management hasn't done a good job lately with their screening process. But I'm not here to talk about that and after almost ten years it was getting time for Minami's departure from Nogi, I think she'll have a decent solo career and you know I'll be doing posts for her in the future as I'd have her her as my fourth favorite member. This photobook is so huge, there were 184 pages and that's way too many for one post. So isn't 140 pages and that's what this post will have as I've held back forty pages and will have them in a future post. This post should be a popular one so will wait until the end of June for Minami's next regular post that will feature screenshots from her graduation concert, any new Nogi cards and blog photos along with some news about upcoming activities, if I need more things for the post will have the rest of this book in that post and if not in a July post.
Minami's first book that came out in September 2020 was my #1 of all time for five years but has dropped to my second favorite and was passed by a 5G member's book. My third fave book could also be from an ex-Nogi member and don't know when but one day will do that list of my favorite Nogi books. Minami's first book sold about 110,000+ copies but like most Idol photobooks from the past few years this wasn't as good of a seller. Was keeping track of the sales numbers but somehow lost the sheet of paper I jotted the figures on but recall the sales only being about 55,000 copies sold or about half of how many the first book sold. Perhaps when it was known this would be Minami's final book that affected sales as graduation books sell so fewer copies than regular books, the release date for this book was February 3rd and twenty days later is when her graduation was announced.
These days Idols are once again going well outside of Japan for a book's photo shoot, Europe and Australia are the two most common destinations. Minami traveled to three Italian cities which were Milan, Florence and Cinque Terre, her previous book had to be set in Japan. Minami had a lot of input for this book as she chose most of her outfits and even in the non-gravure photos she looks like a few gazillion yen! For about five years I've been saying that Minami is my all time alluring/sexy/seductive member of Nogi and no one will top her, have even coined a phrase to describe how hypnotizing she is. Enough of the blabbering as there's 136 photos below to savor, along with the four above have 140 pics for today. Also mentioned how I held back forty pages and you'll see those in one of Minami's next two posts, just once I'd love to see a video released from a photo shoot. Have said that before and if a seventy minute DVD was released with the book bet it'd be such a huge seller so why hasn't Nogi done so(?) and they are common for Hello Project members.
