Erika Toda: Kagi no Kakatta Heya episode 11 synopsis and final thoughts

Sadly this is it, really enjoyed this series, not as much as Masami's but certainly one enjoyable show. Last two episodes were a 2-parter, gave a mini review of episode 10 earlier but will give a few more details here.
The locked room murder this time involved a company president who was found murdered(?), as usual the police start off thinking it was an accident, in his 12th floor office. At first one of the company's vice-presidents looked like he was the culprit, the police arrested him and he even confessed to the crime but our trio thinks he is innocent, naturally they're right but if it wasn't him who was it? Other possibilities included the other vice-president, also a very suspicious window cleaner and even a robot were on the list, even for a short while Enomoto who had a run in with the president 5 years prior was thought to be a suspect but was cleared rather quickly.
However it really boiled down to the window cleaner who was played by guest star Hiroshi Tamaki who was going by the name Satou which was really an alias, his real name was Shiina  but he stole the identity of a former classmate as he was being hounded by debt collectors for a debt his family ran up which came out in the end as being the fault of the president. It took a while longer this time for Enomoto, Junko and Serizawa to solve this case, the real problem was trying to find out how he did the murder as he didn't go into the office yet the president was killed by a blow to the head, how did he do it? They did figure it out in another slightly confusing way, was hard to believe the murder happened as it did but the culprit confessed to it once the scenario was broken down by Enomoto. An okay ending but as mentioned bit hard to believe theory but was the right one, also the murderer had stolen many jewels from the prsident's office which were also stolen in the first place, as the show ended Enomoto was at the airport leaving the country, seemed he had helped himself to some of the stolen jewels, is this a cliffhanger for a special for this series?

All in all the series was a good watch, at times it was a bit confusing on how they solved the murders, first 2 episodes especially but after that it fell into a solid drama after that, really helped once it became a little less serious and focused more on the trio as regular people. Hope I'm just giving enough away without giving too much away, don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it or have just started it, hopefully these reviews have made you want to check it out, not exactly a classic but just a solid, enjoyable drama. Also a good job by the whole cast, Ohno as the mysterious security expert, Sato as a smart but sometimes goofy lawyer and of course Erika, she was the best in the show, carried many of the episodes with her funny, over zealous personality, SPEC still remains her best role but this one is right up there for her. Of course this series is recommended, would give it a final rating of 8.5/10, started off slow which made the rating a bit lower than you would think but it really is a fine series. Info on the cast and such here plus the next 2 post have many screenshots of you-know0who from the final episode.
