Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nogizaka46: 2016 magazine scans #46 and more....

Hmmm, not quite sure Nanami quite deserves the rest she think she merits after only one solo mag spread for the month of July though it may have been the the #1 of the year for the group. Was also just at the group's blog page to checkout their individual blogs, noticed that you-know-who hasn't done an entry since July 2nd!!!! Oh well, to her(and me)(and perhaps others) this could be her current world ranking for women....

The group's 15th single "Hadashi de Summer" has been out six days now and easily will be #1 on this week's Oricon charts. Will let you know tomorrow what the total sales were for the week, doesn't look like they'll break their personal record for first week sales but they won't be too far behind it.

First single "Guruguru Curtain" hit the second position on the charts, since then all of the singles have hit the top of the charts and sure that streak will continue for a while. That's one of the covers above, my how their looks have changed in 4+ years. That single sold 136,000 copies in it's first week, it's the group's lowest total but it's probably not a bad figure as the group was brand new. Would have liked it better if AKB, SKE or some other fave group of mine beat them out but it was a tune by Hey! Say! Jump!, what a horrible group they are but somehow have about twenty #1 singles.

Just two mag spreads for today, could be a bit quiet the next few days as the group is getting ready to perform three concerts in Aichi this weekend, sure they need a few days of rehearsal. To lead off we have the fine pair of Asuka who is the center for the new single, with her is Nanase who has been the center for three singles(?) plus she was the co-center for one single. Fine set of pics here is from the August 15th issue of Young Magazine.

Second month in a row this foursome of Sayuri, Kotoko, Karin and Ranze have appeared in Big Comic Spirits, these are from their issue for August 15th.

To end off have a few blog pics from a pair of Undergirls. Have mentioned a few times recently how much Chiahru's looks have improved, age is probably a factor as she turned 19 back in February. She's the tallest member at 166 cm, it may not be easily noticeable but they are a bit of a short group as it's hard to notice it when they're all around the same height but so many are shorter than 160 cm.
Second UG is now the group's oldest member who is Mai Shinuchi who was born on January 22, 1992. Wonder if some of the older Undergirls have graduation on their mind as odds are against them being promoted to the ranks of a Senbatsu member. Though the oldest member Mai didn't join the group until 2013, sadly she's only been on one A-side single, kind of thinking I need to work on some solo posts for some of these underrated members.
