Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Rena Matsui and Yua Shinkawa: "Megami-sama" movie premiere pics and videos

Rena is one of my all time fave Idols and easily has a place on my top ten list. Kind of shocking then that this is her first post in over a year and there really aren't any good excuses for that. Couple of times I've started planning a post for her but never got around to actually doing one. Rena has been busy this last year but seems as those act activities haven't made for interesting posts.
However if you're a fan do promise a few more Rena posts these next couple weeks, there's enough things that she's done this year and will do posts for them. Also have forgotten a bit about Rena, that does happen when you graduate from a group and this August will make two years since her departure from SKE. Also Rena's 26th birthday will be taking place next month so looks like it's time to get going with many posts.

On the other Yua is an actress who I've posted about quite often this year or at least since December. Yua appears at to many events and usually looks terrific at them, to me Yua could be close to being one of the most underrated beauties there are these days if not number one. The pair did appear at a screening event last month for the film, will try to get the pics and video if there is one for all of you fans. Just checked and the screening took place on May 8th.

Rena doesn't appear in too many films though she has been in quite a few dramas and TV movies this last year. In 2014 Rena had the lead role in the 'Gift" movie, that's one which I highly recommend and did do a review of the film, think it got a 9/10. Here's some pics of the duo from the movie's website, at the top of the post is the movie's trailer.

In the movie Rena plays Sakura who is at a crossroads in her life. Her workmates bully Sakura, her mother is always on her case and she can't think of a reason to go on living. Yua plays the therapist Love who starts treating her and the pair become quite close, looks like a quirky and interesting film. It's part of a series called 'M Cinema' which I think is a series of arty movies like this one. They're probably not expected to be huge hits but let's hope it does well as these are two gals easy to root for.
The film had it's premiere June 10th at the Cinemato in Shijuku, first time I've seen a film have a premiere there but most do have them in Shinjuku. Plenty of fine looking pics here of the pair, Rena's lead off which are followed by the ones for Yua and then there's plenty of the duo. Wondering why the movie is called "Megami-sama" as that's not the name of the lead character. After the pics you can view a video of the event and if you watch it on YT there's a few videos at that site.
