Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

C-ute: Some newish things and more ....

Was thinking about reviving the 'C-ute Singles Series' for a few posts for some missed things such as their 2013 album "Queen of J-Pop". Didn't really like that one for a while but it's really grown on me, not as many singles were on the album but there were plenty of new songs.
Though C-ute did disband close to seven weeks ago still have plenty of recent things that were never posted as I want to stretch out the posts for as long as possible. Airi has said she'll be continuing her singing career but she won't be starting on it until next year. Chisato then is the first member to have a solo career as she'll be performing at next month's 'Tokyo Idol Fest', will have more details about it coming up but think she has s single in the works.
C-ute was never in enough mags but do have an excellent spread to start things off. There's another superb set from UTB and will have that in the next group post. Huge set of pics here which are from volume 39 of Big One Girls.

Few members now have Instagram accounts, don't know why they didn't when the group was still active. Will have Airi's in her next solo post but here are some recent ones for Maimi.

Can't have a C-ute post without H!P cards, here are plenty of them from June.

Two calendars for August, who better to have on your desktop than Maimi!

The C-ute singles series just went back to 2011, stopped there as the gals were kind of young before that. First song I ever heard from the group was "Campus Life" and was I hooked after seeing the PV, as they say the rest is history. All the members are now aged 21-25 so guess it doesn't matter then how old they were seven years ago so have the video after these pics. I have a subbed version but sadly it's not on YT but the video still rates an A+, it's a song that C-ute kept performing right until the end and they even did it at their final concert.
