Mayu Matsuoka: Some recent happenings....

Least to me Mayu is the most likable gal who I post a lot about though wish she had many more of them. Her down to earth and quirky style certainly suits me and quite a few others as she seems to have many fans here. Helps being a MM fan and as a matter of fact it inspired me to play one of their albums which hasn't happened for a while, currently on is their "All Singles Complete" from 2007 and they've been around for a long time.

Mayu is starring in a new drama that started last weekend "Uchi no Otto was Shigoto ga Dekinai" which translates over to My Husband Cannot Work, second episode aired tonight. Viewed the first episode and though there were no subs it was somewhat easy to follow and seems like it could be an interesting series. No word if the drama will be subbed but if so will recap the show, haven't done enough regular drama recaps lately though will be doing "Code Blue 3".

Rest of this post will be devoted to the "Cars/Crossroad" film which just had it's Japanese premiere, in America the title is 'Cars 3'. In the Japanese version Mayu dubs the voice of the heroine Cruise Ramirez, it's her fourth time doing a dub of an American film. She's done plenty of interviews for it the last week and think I enjoy pics of Mayu looking like this versus most gravure spreads First set of stupendous pics are from the Woman Excite site.

Even more fabulous Mayu pics from the Cinema Cafe site.

Last interview pics were done for Otoco.

On July 13th Mayu was at the film's premiere which took place at the EX-Theater in Roppongi. It was actually a special premiere as the official release of the movie took place on the 15th, many other films came out that day so that could be why this event was held two days early. As mentioned Mayu voices the lead female role of Cruise Ramirez in the film. Think the dress she wore was supposed to be one the character wore in the movie. Plenty of A++++ pics here from the event followed by a video of it.
