Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

C-ute: "C ute Alo Hello ! 2014" photobook scans #1 with Maimi and Saki plus much more....

Last C-ute post for their 'singles series', which I think was yesterday, mentioned how I wasn't a huge fan of their "Kanashiki Amefuri" single. Don't know why I said that, may have got it confused with another single as it's one fine song. Played their latest singles collection album earlier and when the song played was musing what a great tune it is, said I better go back and make a correction on that original thought.
The single came out on July 10, 2013 and was one of C-ute's better sellers as it sold close to 65,000 copies in it's first month. No mini concert was held for the single's release as the group was in Paris the day it came out performing at the Japan Expo. Above is an English subbed PV for the tune, at the bottom is another must see video as it's a behind the scenes one of the photo shoot for the covers.

If you're a C-ute fan you'll once again be loving a post here as there's probably over seventy pics with a pair of superb videos. For a change have two group mag spreads and there were certainly a shortage of them over the years. Both were promoting the single, the above set was from Weekly Shonen #32 while the spread below is from the August 2013 issue of UTB.

Before it gets too late in the month have two calendars for October. On the 11th their final concert at Saitama is coming out on DVD, the set includes three DVD's plus a pair of CD's. Have seen the performance a few times so no sense in getting it but it is an impressive package, think they have another video collection coming out soon.

Up until 2009 C-ute had eight members, above is a blog pic from the last show as the trio that departed made an appearance at the concert. Thought I had posted the scans from this 2014 photobook but it was actually the ones from 2011, there was also a 2012 PB. Have two members for this post, will have one for the other trio and here are some group pics from the book.

Maimi and Saki seem like such good friends which is why I like to feature them together, their 'pairs post' from many months ago has been one of the most popular C-ute posts.

Have the DVD for the photobook shoot and will be posting screenshots from it soon but would like to have them in a member's solo post. The PB wasn't a huge one but the pics were all scintillating and especially the ones for Saki as it's easy to see why she was my #1 for last year.

Of all the members Maimi had the most pics and why not as she's truly one of the most beautiful women in history. After the stunning pics check out the photo shoot for the "Kanashiki Amefuri" single's covers and it is one enjoyable view.
