Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Wakana Sakai: YS-Web #35 scans part one

Here's a person you've never seen here before and probably have never heard of her which is understandable, there won't be too many posts but am thinking there will be 4-5 of them in the next few days. Have been viewing the 2019 drama "Shiyakusho" aka Death Office, am up to episode four and am really enjoying this series. Have written up the recap for episode one and if I can get into high gear will write up two more and publish them this Sunday. But it was the second episode which caught my eye or should I say Wakana did as she made a guest appearance in that episode with a very huge role.
Have been a Japanese drama/film fan for over a decade now and one of my first massive faves was Wakana. She was quite popular back in the 2000's and is still very active up until today but seems the older you get the less popular you are. Sure many may recall her in the fine 2004 film "Koi no Mon" aka Otakus in Love, she had the lead female role in the film and was just so superb. Wakana was also in the 2003 drama "Manhattan Love Story" which may be the most underrated drama of all time. It was such a quirky and off the wall show yet very serious. The setting wasn't in Manhattan nor was it really a love story but it took place at a coffee shop where the owner was so passionate about his brews and most customers were coffee fanatics. Have watched it about five times and while there aren't many drama fans here if you are one highly recommend that series.

As the title says this is part one and the second half is the post below this one. Will have more bio info in that post and in her next one which should be on Sunday, it'll be mixed in with that batch of "Shiyakusho" drama recaps and is features pics from an older photobook. Wakana did release many of them in the past, at least ten books with her last one being in 2013. She's done so many activities in the last twenty years could do about five posts just writing up a biography of her, she's such a looker but also a very intelligent and funny woman.
Wakana has had some health issues in the past which did affect her career to an extent but she says these days she's oki doki or at least much better. So when I mentioned about Wakana's activities over the last twenty years it may make her seem quite old, she's older but not overly so as her current age is 39 and have had close to fifty posts for another fave of mine and you viewers who is going to turn 38 soon. On to the pics and this is a massive pictorial at 158 pics which is why I cut it into two posts of 79 pics each. This set came out in 2009 when Wakana was 28 in age, little tamer than sets today but to me she looks like a perfect ten....
