Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Risa Watanabe: Her searing 58th post....

Thought it was more but this is just her seventh post in eight weeks though that is such a torrid stretch! This has been a year for faves having stretches like that which wasn't too common in the past. For the first six weeks of the year a pair of Nogi members who are now graduated kind of dominated the posts. Then a pair of newbies introduced in February each had a slew of posts for a two month stretch and now it's been Risa's turn to take the spotlight. As much as the others are also faves none are as big as Risa who really does have an excellent chance at being my number one when the second 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' list is done, that'll be started in less than three months. By then these posts will have slowed down but I'm hoping there can be another four of them by the end of June, that would also give her an even hundred posts which is becoming much rarer to attain these days. That second pic above is from her 'Memorial' photobook that was released yesterday.... no comment needed.....

On Sunday reached the unbelievable total of 19 million views though a record was missed by two days. In the next 2-3 days will have kind of a 'Thank You' post for hitting that mark and also in it will discuss this year's faves list as there's no other kind of list to do. But it should be interesting and my top three current Idols as of January 1st will have all graduated within four months of each other! In 2019 Risa did finish in the second position on the list, this will probably be her last year battling to be number one and will talk about those things in that post. Risa's last post was done on Sunday a few hours before that 19 million views was hit. So being only three days since that post means there's not a vast amount of new things but I can always make her posts spellbinding....

Not a lot of one particular thing for today but have a lot of variety for this post. This weekend are Risa's two graduation concerts which will be streamed live, there is a site set up for it. You can buy tickets and other tidbits there, being over 6,500 miles away means I won't be taking the trip!!!! Here's the link to the site and what's a fun watch is a mini video there called 'Lookbook Movie' about halfway down the page which is worth viewing: Graduation site

That video is of her modeling older uniforms, above is one pic and for a change Keya is doing a graduation the correct way. Then again too many members in the past said they're leaving in two weeks, she announced her graduation in January. Few pics from the Keya blog, Risa's page there will be closed by the end of June and she'll have to open her own IG page.

Few of those pics above were from last night's 'Showroom' which she hosted for the final time. There was no event for the second photobook so for the third time in a month she did promoting of it on the show, have the link to her final 'Showroom' and also here are a few new pics from a Nikkan Sports interview that took place two days ago: May 17th Showroom

If you can take another link have one here from a Crank interview that came out on Monday and have to say all of her interviews have been rather interesting. Risa came up with the main theme to this book which included many Keya members that she talks about in the interview and at four pages it's quite a long one which I recommend: Crank site

Risa will continue to be a model for Non-no and hope she increases that kind of work with other sites. Have the June issue of Non-no which I'll save for her next post, think she may be their cover girl for July and here's some newish pics from their site.

So this Sunday will be her graduation concert, wonder if Keya's 'Soko' variety show that airs very late on Sunday nights or technically Monday will have that episode devoted to Risa? We've hit the end, while not a massive post as I've said over the years there's no woman I'd rather do posts for than Risa. Up last is this set from the May 30th issue of WPB that features outtake pics from her 'Memorial' photobook. On May 14th, which was Saturday, she and five other Keya members were at the Spring/Summer 'Girls Award' show but to my fury no videos have appeared yet, will they ever? So let's get a bit nostalgic and go back in time for a superb Non-no video that's after the pics.
