Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mai Shinuchi: Once again she's keeping the 'Nogizaka graduate' flame burning....

Kind of a mini post but there were some good reasons for doing this, of course the biggest one is that it's for Mai!!!! This should be the final post for any one who will appear in the top ten for the second 'Top Twenty of All Time Faves' list. Not 100% positive but think she'll end up in the tenth position, perhaps one spot higher and over the years who would have thought that would ever happen? Plus she's got an excellent chance at being #1 on the yearly fave's list but no one has taken control yet of that top spot, could go to any of five gals.

Mai never had many solo posts until 2 1/2 years ago but had plenty of pics in group posts. But wonder if this rash of solo posts had begun earlier she could have been in a battle for being my number one of all time? One more reason for this post as it means Mai has now had one for twelve consecutive months and there's been sixteen posts in that stretch. Only one other woman has ever achieved that milestone who will probably be #2 on the list so that's some rare company. Have thought it about it on occasion which is that those two look so similar.... perfect could be another word for them too.....

Will admit up until 2018 there were many bigger Nogi faves of mine but a lot of that had to do with the amount of pics and posts they had. Mai had her share but I kind of overlooked many of them as back from 2015-18 it was hard to keep up with all of Nogi's activities. So in these posts have been trying to include those missed pics of Mai's from that era, some you've seen in group posts but the majority are all new for here. Plus making the all time list means you've been a fave for a while so having older pics shows you why I've liked someone for so long. Her last post was only ten days ago and it was her second for July so there aren't many recent pics but many new ones from the past. Wish there were more pics but these five are from a July 28th appearance to promote the "On Air- This Sound To You" stage play and it was actually a radio broadcast.

That play opened on July 28th and runs until tomorrow. Mai has done a pair of interviews with 'TheTV.jp' site for the play, here's one from July 26th: Interview #1

To me this set of pics are much better and of course in both interviews more than the play is discussed such as what's been going on since leaving Nogi and a new TV Web show: Interview #2

Would like to see Mai get back into modeling, she'd be a perfect model for sites that cater to OL's and of course she was one for many years with Sony. Hard to believe but this is a spread that had been missed and what an oldie it is. Exactly seven years and is from the August 2015 issue of Update Girls.

Few months back finished up posting all of her 2021 Nogi cards and then began on missed ones from 2020. But instead of continuing on thought why not go way, way back in time as those have never been posted either? So will end off with these golden Nogi cards that are from the first three months of 2016 and Mai never did have any for her graduation. After the pics is a video from an event attended about a month ago for an upcoming exhibit/project called 'Miraikan 2030' and did have many pics from the event already but no video(?).
