Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Risa Watanabe: Her most distinguished post of the year!

It only being nine weeks into 2023 and just her third post guess it's easy to label this as her most distinguished one of the year! However this is a fabulous post and one of Risa's top ones since leaving Keya almost ten months ago as there's finally much more variety for today. She has such an impressive streak going as Risa has been in the top seven on the faves list five years in a row, few more posts like this one and she'll stretch that streak to six years. Never has been number one for a year but she was #1 on the more esteemed list which was for my 'Top Twenty Faves of All Time' done six months ago.

Risa had been moderately busy since graduating from Keya late last May but the last month she's had her busiest period since that departure and hope it lasts a while longer. Let's begin off with a few recent IG pics and she's never posted all that many of them.

Risa is appearing in her first non-Keya drama which is titled "Zenryoku de, Aishite Ii Kana?" that began on February 4th. She plays the role of Tou who is a salesperson though her role wasn't that large in the first three episodes, some screenshots from the drama. It's an okay series which I will finish and also stars one of my first fave actresses but won't be doing any recaps for it.

Though not a large role Risa did an interview for the drama with the Model Press site where she also talked about a few other things, here's the link to it: Model Press interview

Yesterday Risa was at the 'Tokyo Girls Collection' show that took place at the Yoyogi National Stadium Gymnasium in Tokyo. She took her stroll on the Primaris stage and while she's looked better at older shows it's nice to see she's still appearing at them.

Know it's hard to tell from those above photos but Risa is looking better than ever, until the warm weather rolls around most models dress vey conservatively at those shows. You can see how terrific Risa is looking in these new pics from the Non-no site, she's been a model for them since April 2017. The bottom four pics are from their March issue and the spread was way too small.

Risa has been the cover girl twice for Non-no since she left Keya ten months ago but no other magazine. But that's now changed as she's the cover girl for the March 15th issue of Weekly Shonen and hope she starts appearing in many magazines like she once did, few of the pics are from the photo shoot. No good recent videos so instead after the pics have an oldie of Risa's which is one I've viewed fifty times as it's so darn endearing! It's for AEON and is subbed in English, the other two Keya members in the video will both be having a post this week and if you've never viewed it recommend it for any fans.
