Erika as Junko along with Enomoto and Serizawa are back for episode 9 leaving us just 2 more episodes to go in this fine series. Yes it's been fine up until now but thought this last episode was a bit lower than the others, hard to explain why because all the pieces were there so it should have been one of the best. Sho Aikawa guest starred and he's always been one of my fave actors, he did well in somewhat of a restrained role as the case this time of course had to deal with a locked room murder, but this time not one but there two locked room murders! Both happened at a trading company which looked quite shady to Serizawa and Junko who hadn't wanted to take on the case thinking all tose in the company were with the Yakuza, they certainly acted and looked that way but in reality it was a legit business. Last few episodes seemed like all 3 were quite involved with the solving of the case with Enomoto usually coming up with the final solution but it seemed this time it was almost all him who solved it, not much help from the other 2, perhaps that's what hurt the episode a bit. It actually wasn't a bad episode, what happens when you have so many top notch ones in a row when one doesn't quite equal them you may think it's a bit bad, this episode just was not quite not up to par of the previous ones.
Of course still recommend watching it, along with Masami's Toshi series 2 of the better sleuthing shows in recent years. The finale promises to be quite good though as it's going to end on a 2 episode story with the last show being an extra 1/2 hour long, Hiroshi Tamaki will be guest starring. Not sure if I'll wait until the show is complete until the next review, if it's really good may do a mini review in hopes you'll watch it and the final show but may not as wouldn't want to give away too many spoilers. Can't think of a better way to end off a post, really any post with Erika pics is a good thing so here's many shots of her from the last show.
