Nogizaka46: "Hatsumori Bemars" drama episode 3 recap and screenshots

Quite a few things happened in this episode, don't think I'll be looking at all of them as Blogger has had some major issues today and really don't feel like spending a 100  minutes on this post. Then again if this post doesn't crash or freeze up on me will be able to get to everything.
EDIT- Did this the day after so covered almost all of what went down in the episode.
There was finally a decision made by the manager as to what positions the players would play at, Nanamura's (Nanase) bowling skills from the previous episode showed what kind of pitcher she would be and here are also all of the other player's positions.

Time flew by in this episode as when it started out there were ten days until their first game and before you knew it those days had passed and it was finally time to play ball. One complication though which was that Imadoki's past girl gang days got her into trouple again even though she hadn't done anything to warrant it. However that trouble has caused her to miss the first game and the team having no bench players it meant their cross dressing manager Gondawara had to take her place at first base, he made himself even more feminine to pass as a gal.
The Bemars played the Hikyou Girls team, the name means cheating in Japanese as the umpires definitely appeared to be on their side. Somehow though even with the umps giving every call to the Hikyou team they both had battled to a scoreless tie going into the final inning.

The Hikyou team managed to squeeze a run across int he top of the inning and with the Bemars team being so inept at the plate it appeared that run would hold up. However they did manage to get a runner on base bringing their manager Gondawara to the plate but not for long. The Hikyou team protested that he was a male, nothing had been said by then to this point though, with their protest being successful as he was ejected from the game.
This left them with no player to pinch hit for him and it looks like they would have to forfeit due to that fact when out of nowhere came a savior. Marukyu(Nanami) was supposed to be the team's extra player but she had refused their offer which was a shame for them as she was such an excellent hitter. So great with the bat she was she one time had disguised herself as her twin brother at a high school game and was the hero of that game with no one noticing that she had taken his place.
Will get more into Marukyu's past as the series goes on as it seems more will come out but for now she suddenly made an appearance at the Bemars game and was ready to pinch hit for their manager. This being a drama it of course ended in dramatic fashion as Marukyu somehow was able to do a pirouette at a bean ball thrown at her and won the game with a two run homer! And there the show ends with the team moving on to round two of the tourney, a tourney they have to win if they want to save their fave park from being demolished and turned into an apartment building.

No clue what the lineup will be for the next game as the team really could use Marukyu's bat full time instead of being a pinch hitter. Also we didn't see too much of the Polalis team which the Bemars will eventually have to beat if they want to save their park, that Polalis team is by far the strongest in the tourney. Also for the tourney the Bemars team is naturally ranked 46th in the field of teams.
If some of this you didn't understand would suggest reading the recap for episode two as it's broken down a bit more what's going on in the series and why the gals have to win the softball tourney. Will admi it's kind of a sappy drama but quite enjoyable, find myself really liking this show and think it may even merit a re-watch or two after it's done. Next post has even more screenshots from this episode but don't think you'll need them to know more of what happened as most of what did happen was covered here.
