The group's 12th single "Taiyou Knock" came out three days ago, it's a really enjoyable tune but do admit there are other singles from them that are better though this single still tops most other current J-Pop songs.
They set a record for first day sales with a total of 479,000 copies sold but the next two days the total was only 32,000 meaning the total stands now at 511,000 copies sold. Usually first day sales dwarf all the other days is because of all the pre-sales but it's the same way for every group, plus they had a promo going with 7-Eleven which no doubt helped the sales.
But that total of 511,000 already is their highest total for first week sales so now the number to beat is 618,000 which is what their 10th single "Nandome no Aozora ka?" sold. I wouldn't doubt if "Inochi wa Utsukushii" topped that number though as it sold 616,000 after it's first five weeks out but haven't seen any updated figures for the single, also keep forgetting to search for how many it sold and it just may be at their site so will put that on my to-do list.
Last night the group made another appearance on the Music Station show, think this is their fifth time this year on the show. Of course they performed the new single so that hopefully will help the sales a bit, would really like them to eventually top the 700,000 mark for copies sold. Have a bunch of screenshots from the show plus after them are two videos from it, one is a talk segement and the other is performing "Taiyou Knock" and let's hope they stay on YT for a while.
