Cabasuka Gakuen drama: episode three recap with screenshots

Think it's going to take longer listing all of the cast members than it will be doing the recap. Have left a few characters out due to space but for the most part these are the major ones. The series started on October 29th and airs on NTV, the episodes air every Saturday night at 12:55 am.

Jurina Matsui as Center/Kurage.... means jellyfish in Japanese
Sakura Miyawaki as Sakura/Same.... means shark
Yui Yokoyama as Otabe/Maguro.... means tuna
Haruka Kodama as Katsuzetsu/Tai.... sea bream
Yuria Kizaki as Magic/Saba.... mackerel
Nana Okada as Zombie/Karei
Ryoka Oshima as Kusogaki/Ankou
Juri Takahashi as Uonome/Iwashi
Mion Mukaichi as Jisedai/Isugi
Sayaka Yamamoto as Antonio
Haruka Komiyama as Isoginchaku
Rika Nakai as Nodoguro

It could take all night to list them all so what I'll do is add two characters with each recap, way too many to keep track of!

Next post has the recap for the fourth episode but could have easily combined the two as there wasn't too much action or new things added to the plot. For those new to this show it's actually season six of "Majisuka Gakuen" but instead of the action taking place at the Majijo high school it's taking place at a new hostess club called Aquarium. The owners of the school are about to go bankrupt so the remaining students have enlisted the help of a shady character named Saionji to open the club.
The gang is hoping to make enough of a profit to keep the school open, not an easy thing for them to do which is to become hostesses after being gang members seemingly forever. The club opened in episode two, business wasn't too good until the an old schoolmate stopped by to work there. That's Kurage(all names now pertain to fish) who is a very successful hostess, with her help the chub did a rousing business on it's first day.
But it's only been that one day, the success will need to continue for a while to save the school. The students are all 18-19 so they're not as worldly as Kurage is and she gets them out of potentially serious situations over and over. She even took the place of two hostesses during this show and went with three men for a shady encounter. It ended up being a safe date with the three men but on her way home Kurage was attacked and may be out of action for a while. Details haven't been given out yet but that attack wasn't random and a few other hostesses may be in danger.

Near the beginning there was a scene with Antonio who is the leader of the Gekioko high school gang, they're the hated rivals of the Rappapa gang from Majijo. Antonio's gang had opened up a hostess club of their own a few months before and it's been very successful or at least until the Aquarium club opened. Now it's just a matter of time until the two gangs start duking it out, hasn't happened yet but have an inkling it will soon.
Now that Kurage is out of action the club manager Saionji has recruited another old timer from the school who was Nezumi, her 'fish name' is Utsubo. She's also been a successful hostess, before she entered the club there wasn't a customer to be had, soon after her entrance the club was packed. However this was a short term solution as Utsubo was just there for the one episode, somehow Kurage recovered quickly from her wounds and is now back to work.
The gals seem to be getting a bit better at hostessing, not easy to turn over a new leaf in just a few days. Most customers seem to be happy with the girls but only for that night as they don't get a lot of repeat business, the ones that keep returning want to be with Kurage and who can blame them. The manager keeps on them do stay in touch with customers but when they do call too often that person wants nothing to do with that hostess.

One thing I'm going to like about this series is that the recaps will be much shorter than most dramas as not too much really takes place. First two episodes that wasn't the case but that was because all of the characters needed to be introduced and the story had to be set up. This is also one of those shows which is better to view than to read about because of the shortness of these recaps.
But don't take it the wrong way as it's been a solid watch through four episodes and know I'll end up enjoying this entire series. There have been a few minor details which I've left out so far and that's because those story lines haven't fully developed yet but they're soon going to be key elements in this drama as they seem to be interesting.
Haven't seen what the ratings have been to date but seems a lot of fans like this change of pace, can get stale seeing a 22 year old AKB member still being a student. That's also a positive to this drama as all of the characters are the older members from AKB, HKT, NMB and SKE, too many young members are the main reason I haven't followed AKB as closely these last few years. Sorry for being so short with the recap but do have plenty more screenshots for you to enjoy, next post has the recap which should be short too for the fourth episode. Shorter doesn't always mean bad though as I'm sure many(like me) fans prefer get-to-the-point recaps about shows.
