Anna Ishibashi: Some recent happenings....

Mention the term 'huge fave of mine' quite often and not quite sure what that exactly means. Guess one way to qualify for that status would be to end up on my year end 'Top Twenty Faves' list and right now Anna certainly has a spot on that list. She easily could have made it last year and it always seems there's one or two I leave out, too often they get forgotten when I'm making the list.
Never enough Anna things to post about, this is her first one in about two months but there are many happenings that have occurred since then. Going to hold on to just a few of them as Anna is celebrating her 25th b-day on July 12th and would like to have a post with some newish items. Anna has a new film that just came out plus a new drama and have the details of them coming up below. Hopefully that will mean more mag spreads as Anna doesn't appear in as many as she deserves. Have one new one for today which is from the June 15th edition of Bunshun.

The title of Anna's current movie is a long one.... "22 nenme no Kokuhaku: Watashi ga Satsujinhan desu". It opened on June 10th but first there was a screening for the film which took place on May 16th at the TOHO Cinemas in Roppogni Hills. First pic is a relationship chart for the characters.

Anna has done quite a few interviews for the film, she doesn't have the starring role though her part is a key one. Four pics each here that are from two interviews for Isuta and Mantan Web, you can tell both took place on the same day.

Not going to write out the title again but in English it's goes by "Confessions of Murder". Looks like a really intense film, besides Anna I really like the whole cast and can't wait for it to come out on DVD. The film is a remake of a Korean movie from five years ago. Pics here are from the film's premiere which took place on June 10th at the Piccadilly in Shinjuku.

"Miyazaki Kenji no Shokutaku" aka Kenji Miyazaki's Table is Anna's next drama, it'll be airing on WOWOW starting this Saturday the 17th. Nice big role for her as she has the female lead in the show, it's set back in 1921 and looks to be a rags to riches story. It's based upon a new manga which just came out this year, these are some fine interview pics for the drama.

Ryohei Suzuki has the lead role of Kenji, have seen him in many things and he's a solid actor. My fave performance by him was in the "Majo Saiban" drama which is one of my top ten series of all time. He played a ruthless and devious man who tried to corrupt a trial, the show aired in 2009 and highly recommend viewing it.
Anna and him have appeared in a few dramas over the years, one reason may be because they're both part of the Horipro agency. Today there was a press conference for the series, few pics from the event here and following them is a video of it, top pic is from the show's site.
