Sigh, a wave of goodbye from Himeka instead of one for hello, sigh.... 😢
Her graduation news was announced on Saturday night but Himeka went into a little more detail Monday on her blog. Her health is the main reason for her departure and she thought she came back from her absence a bit too soon. She won't be with Nogi on their Summer tour which re-starts this Friday but will be doing some shows with the Undergirls. Guess she may be having her graduation concert with them but it would be better if there was one with the Senbatsus.
Nogi's 18th single "Nigemizu" was released today and the reported sales were 716,000 copies sold. That's 27,000 less then "Influencer" whose total sales are about 1,025,000+. Think the real story for singles is how well they sell after the first week as most of those sales are pre-orders from their rabid fans, if a song is really good it'll sell solidly for a month or so. To me though this isn't one of their stronger singles, not a bad song but just can't compare with their 2013-15 tunes.
Only one recent mag spread but bet there will be many new ones coming out soon. Mai is in this first set and haven't seen too many spreads from her lately, her 25th b-day will be taking place in eleven days so will hold back some of her newer happenings for a post or two for that day. She's joined by Momoko who is the co-center for the new single and this set is from Young Magazine #36-37.
For the past two months have been posting many Nanase pics from the Non-No magazine Instagram site. After having well over 200 pics have finally caught up as these are the last of them but there still should be plenty more in the future.
On August 31st Nogi will have a new app coming out called 'Always with You'. It's an app that will wake you up in the morning with a member's voice and also keep you updated with all of their activities. All of the members will be taking part and will try to post most of the promo pics. Here's two new sets and who wouldn't want to hear the second member's voice first thing in the morning!?
On August 6th the third generation members appeared at this year's 'Tokyo Idol Fest'. That's become such a huge event as 220 groups performed at this year's fest which lasts for three days. They don't have too many tunes as their first one didn't appear until the "Influencer" single but in concert they also do many of Nogi's older classics.
During their set was very surprised that all of the other Nogi members appeared on stage, no doubt to help the sales for the new single. They performed that song plus every member joined in on "Girls Rule" and when was the last time they didn't do that song at a concert? Probably never but it just occurred to me now is that does Nogi still perform the singles "Sayonara no Imi" and "Harujion ga Saku Koro" at shows? The pair of the centers have graduated but both were also huge sellers, will check out their set list from this weekend's concerts to see if they get performed.
