Riho Yoshioka: A little of that and that....
For some reason there's certain faves who I tend to overlook and at the top of that list may be Riho. Don't know why I tend to forget about her as she is a busy woman but guess that faves list has just gotten a bit too big and it's difficult keeping tabs on everyone. My top twenty list is complete but just have to figure out some positioning, Riho didn't make it and actually she easily could have but kind of too late to add her on.
Riho has never made a list of and wouldn't be surprised if she never does But what's really odd is that she'd be on my top twenty of all time list and if there was a gravure Idol list Riho would probably occupy the second spot, no lower than third.
Riho's gravure days seem to be over but it's a good thing as her acting career has really taken off. Have seen her in two dramas and both times her performance was solid. However Riho didn't have the lead role in either one but she did in her Summer series and will have the female lead role in "Kimi ga Kokoro ni Sumitsuita" which begins in January.
Haven't been too high on Japanese dramas for a while as many of you know but will be giving one of Riho's recent shows a chance as besides being so stunning she's truly one likable woman. On to some mag spreads and since Riho began concentrating more on her acting career the appearances have slowed down and gotten much tamer. First up is from the July 27th Weekly Bunshun, there's only been about five spreads the last three or so months.
Not gravure style sets but all look A++++ to me, these are from Weekly Gendai for August 19th.
Up next is a way too small spread from the September 12th edition of Flash.
Final Riho spread for today is from the December issue of Mina,
We may be seeing Riho at many awards shows over the next two months, she's received many praises for her role as Rinka in the "Gomen, Aishiteru" drama which aired in the Summer. On November 24th Riho was at the 30th 'Vogue Women of the Year' awards show where she was one of seven to win an award. It's for women in the entertainment field and Riho was one of three actresses to win an award, other ones were for directing, music and the arts.
The ceremony was held at the extremely ritzy Maru Cube Hotel in Marunochi. Even dressed a bit swanky Riho still has an everyday girl charm about her and must have made many heads swivel around with the way she looked at the event. Plenty of pics here from it and following them is a video that's definitely worth checking out.
