Last episode concluded with Tae making a visit to Taiga's company's Shogi club to help the players out with their game. Taiga had come down to check out what was going on and that was when it was discovered he had never played Shogi before. To Taiga it was the worst thing that could have happened to him, though going out with Tae would have been such a long shot now it appeared his chances are zero. However he's underestimated Tae who does have a heart of gold and is such a likable but shy woman.
Even though she has an important Shogi tournament coming up she really wants to help Taiga learn the game she loves so much. The pair met up on a few occasions such as above where they play for the first time in Tae's favorite coffee shop. As expected the matches are all one sided in Tae's favor despite the fact she's only playing with three pieces. Taiga isn't too discouraged as he accepted a Shogi book Tae had given him and spent much of his free time learning the game. After the first session at the coffee shop Taiga left alone as Tae had to rush off to her Shogi Hall.
Outside the cafe Taiga had an encounter with an odd man. We've seen this character before though his name was never been revealed. Upon what we've seen he appeared to be a stalker, he's been taking pictures of Tae with his camera and when confronted by Taiga the man scooted off but left his camera. Taiga picked it up and began browsing through the photos, to his amazement all of them were off Tae and could this man be the one who broke into her apartment recently?

It just so happened that Sanae was passing by and noticed the camera Taiga was holding. She saw the pictures that were on it and once again she accused Taiga of being a dirty, glass wearing pervert. However the 'stalker' rushed back to the scene and grabbed back his camera, he once again fled the scene but at least Taiga is innocent in the eyes of Sanae. The pair do get along well though Taiga really doesn't care for her all that much, being around her though means he can learn more about Tae.
As the pair were strolling home Sanae received an urgent message from Tae, there's an intruder at her apartment! The pair quickly dash over there and enter the residence as the door is unlocked. Wasn't much of an intruder as it was just a roach that Tae saw on the wall. But it was another notch in the belt of Taiga's as once again he's come to the rescue of Tae and she's been noticing that too.
Presume it's the following Wednesday as the next scene was at Taiga's company and the small group of employees are meeting at their weekly Shogi club. Taiga once again has a match with his boss Yuki, he lost once more yet his boss has noticed such a rapid improvement in Taiga's game. When her asked Taiga how he got to be so good in such a short period of time he replied that Tae had been helping him and Yuki was mildly furious upon hearing that.

To Yuki Tae should have been at her Shogi hall practicing for the upcoming championship, with Tae being 32 she may not have many opportunities to win a major title. As you can see above Tae didn't mind helping Taiga out at all with learning the game, she hasn't admitted it yet but deep down think she's caring more and more about Taiga with each passing day. After the club concluded it's session Taiga walked Tae home, with a stalker around he's been getting nervous about her safety.
On their walk a minor tragedy struck or at least to Tae it was a tragedy. She somehow lost her good luck charm during their walk, Tae felt it may be an omen that she won't win the upcoming championship. After escorting her safely home Taiga covered the tracks they just passed over, though it started pouring out he wouldn't give up until he could find Tae's lucky charm. Of course it being a drama he did find the object and the following morning went to the Shogi hall to see Tae.
She was getting prepared for her first match, it's a tournament where you win or go home and Tae was extremely nervous. Not so much after Taiga presented Tae with her charm, that certainly raised her confidence level for her match. But of course in the pouring rain from the previous night Taiga had caught a cold, as Tae is smiling at her returned charm Taiga passed out on the ground.
Don't know how he got there but later in in the day Taiga woke up in his bed but still with his cold. There was a knock at the door, entering of all people was Sanae and though she thinks Taiga is a pervert she's still a bit attracted to him. Sanae had visited him in place of Tae, she had come to let Taiga know that she had won her first match and they also had another mini conversation. Sanae had admitted to Taiga that she hadn't been friends with Tae for a long time, as a matter of fact at one time she really despised Tae. But they had met one day by chance in Tae's favorite coffee shop, it's almost impossible not to fall for Tae's sparkling personality and soon they became the best of friends. With that confession episode three is in the books and one more to go.

Am writing these four recaps up in a row so hopefully the writing isn't going too far downhill though for me don't have far to go but then again I think the words are flowing slightly better. Yuki is quite an attractive woman, even with her wearing glasses in this show she still looks ultra dazzling and to be honest she looks almost as good wearing them versus not having them on if that makes sense. One more recap to go for this series and it's the post right below this one.
