This drama has had two air dates. First time around it aired from November 14, 2015 to January 17, 2016 on Sohu in China and Naver in Korea as it was a joint production. There were twenty episodes that ran for fifteen minutes each.
For the drama's second time around it aired from April 4th to April 25, 2018 on MBN. The episodes were combined into five shows at an hour each, those are the ones in the recaps. MBN is a cable network in Korea and the shows aired Wednesday nights at 11:00 pm.

Main Cast:

Jung Ii Woo as Choi Se-Hoon.... arrogant CEO of Choi Entertainment
Jin Se-Yun as Yoo Yi-Ryjung... 24 year old who lived in the mountains, soon to be an Idol(?)
Lee Si-Un as Heo.... Se-Hoon's daffy assistant
Moon Se-Yun as CEO Jang.... Se-Hoon's rival when it comes to signing Idols and actors
Yoon Bo-Ra as Min-Joo.... popular Idol woth Choi Entertainment, real life once a part of Sistar
Jung Sang-Hoon as Jong-Hyun.... Se-Hoon's only friend and his psychiatrist
Tae Hang-Ho as 'The Beast Man'.... Yi-Ryung's neighbor from the mountains

Not much of a cliffhanger that ended off the previous episode, actually there was none. Yi-Ryung had finally finished recording the video with the boy group Monsta X for their next single plus Se-Hoon and his assistant Heo had finally concluded their private meeting which must have lasted for a day. Very little got accomplished business wise during the meeting, it was mainly for Se-Hoon to get tips from Heo on how to date a woman, Se-Hoon picked the wrong man to get advice from as single one of them blew up in his face.
After that pow-wow Se-Hoon had officially brought out Yi-Ryung on their first date, it really wasn't one but in Se-Hoon's mind it was a date. He's such a shrewd agent for his troupe of Idols but when it comes to the opposite sex Se-Hoon is very naive, no matter what he did on their luncheon date he failed in the eyes of Yi-Ryung. Se-Hoon had usually manged to keep his cool around Yi-Ryung but now he's finally hit his boiling point, is there no way in the world to convince her to be an Idol?
The answer for now and the rest of the show is a big NO but that's the not the worst of Se-Hoon's problems. After their lunch Yi-Ryung announced she had to leave Seoul to help her aunt out running her restaurant. That seemed to be the final straw for Se-Hoon's sanity, of course there was no way then to prevent Yi-Ryung from leaving but for the first time in his life Se-Hoon has failed at a business deal. Not just a normal deal as he still thinks Yi-Ryung could be the biggest Idol ever, that may be secondary as for the first time in his life Se-Hoon had fallen head over heels for a woman.

Though she had a train ticket Se-Hoon drove her all the way back to the mountains of Odaesan. You can see above how Yi-Ryung felt about Se-Hoon, both feel the same way about each other so why couldn't one have taken the first step? Also above is one of the Monsta X members singing some lyrics that Yi-Ryung had written, the words were in Chinese as she was an expert at their proverbs and learning them was her favorite activity while she was alone on the mountain. When Se-Hoon heard the words he was doubly sure Yi-Ryung had what it takes to be a mega popular Idol, it's now his life goal to get her signed to a contract.
Yi-Ryung's departure had sent Se-Hoon on the verge of insanity, for the first time ever he began to act politely to his staff but more than that being wealthy and famous didn't mean as much to him. Even though Se-Hoon had driven Yi-Ryung back to Odaesan she didn't stay there long, her aunt who needed help running the restaurant wasn't there but instead in Seoul(?). Wonder if Yi-Ryung had
Se-Hoon drive her all the way back to the mountains as to throw him off her trail but at this point in his life nothing will throw Se-Hoon off her trail.
Things seem to be going well for Yi-Ryung at the restaurant, she's really impressed her aunt with her culinary skills. But seeing as how Yi-Ryung is back in Seoul it's just a matter of time until she runs into Se-Hoon even though there's ten million people who live there. Se-Hoon's psychologist friend even had a bite to eat there but not knowing who Yi-Ryung was he didn't contact his buddy. Meanwhile Se-Hoon is still in a daze over her leaving, he's wandering the streets of the city and when Yi-Ryung peered out of a restaurant window who should she see drifting by?

Of course it was none other than Se-Hoon, after a brief pause deciding on what she should do
Yi-Ryung dashed as quickly as she could after him. That dash wasn't fast enough as Se-Hoon was nowhere to be found, a dejected Yi-Ryung stood there on the verge of tears. Not for long as rounding a corner in back of her was Se-Hoon, just as he noticed Yi-Ryung she slowly turned around and both stood there gaping at each other not knowing what to say or do.
Our potential lovebirds eventually ended up on a park bench where they finally had their first long personal talk. During that conversation we did learn much about Yi-Ryung's past though zero about Se-Hoon's. Yi-Ryung's mother had been such a beauty, just like her daughter, she had won a beauty pageant and the fame went straight to her head. The mother ended up leaving to pursue her dreams of becoming a popular actress and model, it was just Yi-Ryung and her father left living wherever.
Say wherever as Yi-Ryung didn't mention where she had been living but shortly after her mother's exit the father died, that's when Yi-Ryung moved to the remote mountain to live with her grandfather. Some years after that the mother died too, Yi-Ryung's aunt is her mother's sister and after her mother had left Yi-Ryung never saw her again. Not exactly a nice upbringing but Yi-Ryung seems to have handled it quite well and still has a positive outlook on life. But her world is a very small on as for at the age of 24 Yi-Ryung still has no idea what happens in the real world.

On to the final segment and somehow have been making these recaps shorter while still including all of the major details, no clue how I'm doing that. Yi-Ryung is no longer living at the apartment that
Se-Hoon had given her, now she has her own place but wouldn't think working at her aunt's restaurant would pay enough for an apartment. As the pair were going their own ways after that mini reunion Yi-Ryung invited him to dinner at her place, there was no way Se-Hoon was going to turn her down.
Things are heating up in their relationship but it's still going at a snail's pace. Once again Yi-Ryung had stunned Se-Hoon with her cooking, if the Idol world doesn't work out being a chef seems like a profession Yi-Ryung could slide into rather easily. The night is going well for Se-Hoon who has gathered a lot of confidence in himself around Yi-Ryung and seems very close to asking her to be his girlfriend. He's at the stage he's rather have her in his life than to make Yi-Ryung an idol.
The good night started out well but with one phone call that came to a crashing end for Se-Hoon. That phone call happened to be from none other than Jang who is his hated rival in the entertainment industry. Jang had met Yi-Ryung first and still had the dream of signing her to his agency. That'll never happen according to Yi-Ryung but try telling that to the insanely jealous Se-Hoon, After the call he began ripping into Yi-Ryung for still talking with Jang and ended up calling him some unchoice words which really offended Yi-Ryung. On that sour note this fourth episode has come to it's conclusion.

Haven't viewed the final episode yet so not sure what the outcome of this drama will be. Figure there are three logical endings, one is that Se-Hoon and Yi-Ryung begin dating, perhaps even marriage is in his mind. The second is that she becomes an Idol while the third is that both scenarios happen to her, am leaning towards the first one. That recap is the next post and have been taking my time on watching them though you wouldn't know it reading these posts. Have been into dramas much more lately but every now and again need a break from them so after this show took a week off from all dramas. I expect April to be the busiest month of the year for watching them.
