Only post of the night as I'm in the midst of writing up the recaps for a mini series. But it's one a few may be interested in as Yuki Kashiwagi has the lead role and will have it finished over the weekend. But at first will have the recaps at my other blog and the link for that is on the right hand side, will eventually be transferring those posts over.
Right above is Akane and this will be her final single as an SKE member as she'll be graduating soon, no date has been set but thinking it'll be April. But at least there's some good news for her as on March 4th she'll be releasing her second photobook and I thought her first one was superb. Above her pics is the PV for the group's 26th single "Souyuutoko Aru yo ne" which will be coming out on January 15th. Think there may be another group post coming up soon as there should be a few more mag spreads, especially for the upcoming PB.
SKE group posts usually aren't too popular here but their last one in October was as it's drawn more views by far than any other of their posts. Last year SKE released just one single and really am hoping this will be a year we can get at least three of them and perhaps even an album. Like most '48' group's their sales have been dwindling but not as much as NMB or HKT, to me only having one or two singles a year is a major reason for their drop in popularity.
They're still a massive fave of mine and after C-ute I enjoy their songs more than any other J-Pop group this past decade. As a matter of fact am currently playing their first greatest hits album which I haven't heard for months and it's really sounding good. Here's some of the covers for the single and for the first time Akari will be the center and she's really deserving of having the honor. Seems to me she's kind of become the face of the group and she really works hard promoting SKE.
On the other there's Jurina who has hardly been doing any group activities as once again she was on a health hiatus. She's really become such a disappointment to me and at one time thought she may end up being my #1 Idol of all time, no chance of that happening now. If you notice in the above pics she's not in any of them as Jurina won't be on the single though she does have a solo tune and did release a mini album back in September. But she's not a dependable member these days and in a way glad the group moved on with not having her on the single instead of waiting for her to recover again. She did appear at an event back on November 21st at the Nagoya Motor Show where she was appointed as it's ambassador and did look fabulous.
On to a few mag spreads though this first set of pics isn't one. Instead these are from the Bomb magazine's Twitter page, don't have the spread but hopefully for the next post. It features the duo of Ruka who to me is one of the hottest Idols around though still kind of unknown. With her is Shiori who is a long time member that has flown under the radar, she'll be turning 24 in April and what I like most about SKE is how many members they have who are 25 or older.
Here's a slightly older spread that's from the October 15th issue of Flash. Reona is the member and she looks mighty fine, she turned 21 exactly a month ago.
Hers's another member we don't see too often and have noticed this past year management has been pushing some of these members who are older yet not well known. This set here is from the January issue of Entame which features Suzuran Yamauchi, she turned 25 on December 8th yet this may be her first solo spread ever!
We didn't have to wait too long for Suzuran's second incredible spread as she also was in the February edition of Entame.
Have more things coming up but this is the final spread for today which is from the December issue of EX-Taishu. It features another member we don't see too often who is Yuki Arai, she looks tremendous and I still think SKE has the best looking Idols of any group.
Just a few older pics of Ruka who I can't get enough of, she's not a Senbatsu member on the new single but her popularity has really been growing.
Will end off with a pair of pic batches featuring my fave member Akari. She's such a busy person but her activities don't make for great posts, wish she would appear in more mags or at events. Didn't do a top twenty list for 2018 but if I had she would have finished in the third position but since then Akari has only had one solo mag spread and not enough individual activities, SKE is unlike Nogi as they do almost everything as a group. Least I can say she's by far the best Idol at posting blog pics as these are all from the past ten days!
I truly am smitten with Akari and in all honesty if she was as busy as Nogi members she would probably become my #1 Idol of all time and perhaps number one Japanese women of all time as that's how much I like her. She's getting up there in age too as on October 31st she turned 28 but has said she'd like to remain with SKE until at least the age of thirty which please all of us fans. Akari released her one and only photobook back in 2018 which is why it was her busiest year to date. However the PB flopped sales wise but to me it's one of the top books from the past five years. Will end off with some overly mesmerizing pics and who can top a woman like this....
