Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Miyuki Watanabe.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: Thanks for 12 million(!) views plus a few other goodies....

There's someone we haven't heard from in eons, such a shame for Akari wasn't too far away from being my number one current Idol but it's been over a year since her last solo post. Oh well, times do change and it's been far too long since there's been a solo post for any of my bigger SKE faves, least she and most others haven't graduated. But this isn't a post for the group but to say THANK YOU for 12 million views, once again a record was set and it's happened four times for the last five million views. But it's always down to the wire if a record would be set, the past three times it's been by about a day. The old record was 141 days, I estimate this new record was 139 days and some hours, not exactly sure how many hours as I wasn't on the computer when it happened.
As I've mentioned in a few other thank you posts never had a goal in mind when I started this blog almost nine years ago. Took one year to reach 50,000 views but kept at it, the past three years have averaged close to 2.3 million views and I must be doing something right to keep everyone returning. No clue on how long I'll keep doing this, never thought this would still be alive after nine years so won't make any predictions but will try to maintain doing a variety of solid posts for all to enjoy.

Viewers tend to like stats and know the same goes for me. That milestone was hit at about 11:45 pm or so Monday night, took this screenshot about twenty minutes later.

As you can see Nogi still dominates the most viewed posts feature, lot of things have changed over the years but that's something that never will. Few more oddball stats for all to savor, they don't take the place of batting averages and will admit I do miss checking the box scores every day. Viewers from Japan continue to have more visits than any where else which does make sense, quite a few fans do come from Southeast Asia. Plus as you can see in the bottom pic Kyoko has so many fans here, don't know if anyone will ever catch her for having the most popular posts.

Now on those other goodies and have noticed many enjoy these kinds of lists. Towards the end of June will be doing a special post for the top viewed posts for the first half of the year that began December 1st and goes on to May 31st. Also may do a post for who the most popular gals here are from that stretch but undecided on that for now. Today will have what the top five most popular posts have been so far, in a bit of a shock the top two came out before December 1st. Will also have the link to the post if you want to view it.

#5 with 1,171 views.... Hinatazaka, 'Tachikogi photobook scans' from February 27th

Bit of a surprise that post is so popular as most of their regular group ones aren't.

#4 with 1,201 views.... Miru Shiroma, 'Love Rush photobook scans' from March 8th

No surprise here and photobooks dominate the top five so far as four are books, been way too long since a regular post for her.

#3 with 1,262 views.... Minami Tanaka, 'Sincerely Yours photobook scans' from March 7th

Expected the total to be a bit higher but the post was just done less than seven weeks ago, as a matter of fact these three posts were all done in a ten day stretch.

#2 with 2,470 views.... Risa Watanabe, 'Her wondrous 27th post....' from November 13th

Do have to say this one is a bit of surprise but at least a bit of a pleasant one, it was a fine post but don't think it was any better than Risa's other twenty posts in 2019.

#1 with 4,595 views.... Erika Ikuta, "Intermission photobook scans' from July 11th

No one is going to top the amount of views this post has received, it's about to enter the top ten for all time most viewed posts. Not my fave Nogi PB but what a dazzling set of pics and it's still number one with most views for the past month.

From July until October will do a series of four preliminary posts for this year's top twenty list, they'll be done the final week of the month. Will start on the official top twenty list near the end of November which will finish up Christmas week. For today will have the first mini list of the year as these are my current top fifteen but know there will be many changes.
You need to be 21 in age plus have to have six posts to qualify for the list. To date seven have those six posts plus the other eight are only one or two posts away from reaching that mark, would like to have at least thirty or more become eligible. Every year the early front runner never finishes #1 but have a strong feeling this will the year it doesn't happen though any of the top six have a chance at being number one, even # eleven does. Will have two pics of each and how many faces do you know? Will go from fifteen to number one, those top two spots will have four pics each. For Idols now have a rule they need to have 250 pics in group posts as they tend not to have many solo ones, that means number's ten and eleven will finally be on a yearly list.
