Park Eun-Bin: Finally the post (no)one has been waiting for....
**** Had a sneaking suspicion it could happen and for a change was correct with with a prediction and am so glad I was. The new version of Blogger wasn't forced upon us today like it was scheduled to, have no clue when the next 'implementation date will be. Didn't finish this post up yesterday and though it won't be a popular one thought I'd get it out of the way. Will be back Wednesday for that special 'thank you' post which will have a list which has never been done here before.
It's been way too long since the last Eun-Bin post, didn't check before writing this but think it was back in April or early May. For the first preliminary list done in June Eun-Bin finished in the 13th position but for the second list she dropped out of the top sixteen, would have had her about 18th. Would say 80+% of the time when a fave drops off a list it's not because I no longer am a fan but that they've gone many months with no activities or posts. That was the case for her but have a strong feeling she'll be making a reappearance on the list.
Eun-Bin is the only actress who has been in my #1 drama twice for a year. In 2018 "The Ghost Detective" was my number one show and what an underrated series that was. This year still has a few months to go but no drama will top "Stove League", recapped every episode and if you read them, especially the final ones, you know how much I enjoyed it. Eun-Bin hasn't been entirely quiet since that show ended, sure she needed a break and after that ended she was filming her new drama and will have details on that near the bottom.
In the past 2 1/2 years have viewed five Eun-Bin dramas, probably more than anyone else. She's not my fave woman from Korea but just could be my current #1 actress from the country. Four of those dramas were quite good, especially the two I mentioned above. However the first season of "Age of Youth" was one that started out well but faded rapidly. Recapped the first four episodes but dropped the series after the seventh.
It was about a group of five college students sharing a house and those first four shows were so fun, quirky and enjoyable. But too often when romance gets introduced a show tends to become a bit dull and predictable which is what happened. Eun-Bin's character of Ji-Won may have the best part of the show, she was a 22 year old who was 'guy crazy' yet could never get a date. She loved drinking to such an extent that men tended to shy away from her but she was the life of the party. Here's some of her screenshots from the fifth and sixth episodes as they hadn't been posted.
Eun-Bin's agency is 'Namoo' and they often have some great pics or videos of their actresses. This is a recent photo shoot for them and the pics are better than most of her mag spreads.
"Do You Like Brahms?" is the title of Eun-Bin's upcoming drama which begins on August 31st. It's about a group of older college students who are studying classical music at a very prestigious university. She'll be playing the role of Song-Ah who as you can see by these promo pics is a violinist. Am torn on whether to view this show, looks interesting but can I watch sixteen episodes of students playing classical music?
Will watch at least the first two weeks or eight episodes of the drama. It may one that doesn't have as many storylines or other things going on like so many murder mystery series do, will do recaps for the first few shows and will see what happens then. On August 24th Eun-Bin and a few of the other 'students' in the drama attended an event for the show even though it's not scheduled to start for a week. Wish there were more solo pics but sadly there weren't but her female co-star does look quite good. Hopefully there will be another Eun-Bin post in the next two weeks as on September 4th she'll hit the age of 28. There's many videos on YT for the drama, after the pics have one which is a short interview from the set and is subbed in English.
