Mina Oba: Yet another post of ultra scintillating new pics!!!!

 

 My mood is usually a happy one but.... when doing a Mina post that level of happiness is a hundred times higher than seventh heaven! That's certainly the truth but hadn't been able to hit the level of bliss until nine days ago as there had been zero posts this year for her, sadly may not be another until next year. Things like that are too common with Idols who depend so much on what their groups are doing and in the case of SKE it's been virtually nothing this year, can say the same about Keya and more on SKE coming up.

 Did my 'All Time Top Twenty Faves' list about 26 months ago, the Spring of 2022 seems like a good time to do the next one. On that fist list Mina wasn't included but didn't miss by much, perhaps she was around 22nd. As of now would say she has a spot on the list which would probably be between 15-18. Mina has made the yearly list twice but both times her position was in the teens but there's still nothing wrong with that. But many in the top twenty didn't do well in yearly lists either and it's more of a case of what you've done for an extended period of time, she certainly was quite busy from 2012-19. Now if there ever is a list for all time hottest gals, gulp....

 If you've been a long time visitor you know it's nothing new about how highly I think of Mina and speaking of long time you can say that about her SKE career which may go on for a while. The group hasn't released a single since January and their next one won't be coming out until March. That could be an 'SKE Month' as two 2020 graduations were postponed and will be happening right around the single's release. So am thinking starting in January we'll finally begin seeing many new things from the group as there many other members I truly like too.

 

 With those two graduations have a feeling a few other member's departures may have been put on hold, as I've said often what I really like about SKE is how much older they are compared to other groups. Recently Mina made a comment on the group blog saying she's like to remain with SKE until she was thirty which would be April 2022 and have a strong feeling it'll be happening. That'll mean the group will have two members in their thirties as I can't see her best mate leaving within the next year and think the pair need that time to learn the meaning of sharing, no comments are needed.....

 Just did a post for her mate above a few days ago who may be the only current Idol to top Mina but that's like saying which million yen bill looks better! Mina's second photobook came out yesterday and I was quite shocked when I heard she was having that second PB, it's a rarity these days for a '48' member. But her first PB last year sold much better than expected and had two reprintings, hopefully a third book will be coming out for her much in the future graduation. Most things today will be about the photobook and these are some new interview pics from the Encounter site but it was also for a film she appeared in that came out last month and other SKE tidbits.

 Mina's acting career is picking up some steam as in the past year she's been in a stage play, a movie and one web drama, shame there's been no AKB/SKE dramas for a while. More interview pics for the PB and the activities mentioned for 'The TV.jp' site.

 There's some videos of her recent 'Showroom' appearance on YT but I never have good luck posting those as they too often get deleted but will a different and better one to end the post off with.

 In Mina's last post had some promo pics for the photobook but there hasn't been as many compared to the first book. Do have a few more new ones and the top two are the covers.

 Sigh, that bottom pic guarantees a sleepless night, sigh again....

 

 On to a pair of new mag spreads featuring outtake pics from the PB, also had a few sets in  her last post. First spread is from the November 27th issue of SPA! and how about that final pic....

 I'll bet Mina has been the cover girl for Young Gangan close to twenty times so surprised there was no spread with them. Other set for today is from the November 27th edition of Friday.

 Title for the new photobook is "Answer Matching"(?) aka Kotae Awase. For her first PB the photo shoot took place in Hawaii though Japan was the setting for this one and no doubt because of the health crisis. The photographer was a woman and Mina did mention at the event for the PB how she struggled at first with that as she was so used to a male cameraman, you'd think she'd be more comfortable with a woman. Yesterday there was an event for the book at the Village Vanguard in Shibuya, fans were there but no one on one meetings could take place. After seeing so many gravure pics it's s nice to see Idols dressed a bit more down to earth and these are some terrific pics from the event, following them is a video of it.
