"Girl Gun Lady" drama: Episode four of ten recap

Air Dates: April 7th until June 9, 2021 on MBS at 1:00 am, total of ten episodes
Subs are done by Bandai and the shows can be found at their YT channel

Main Cast: The actual recaps should be easy enough to do and not all that long though the first one often is to set up the story and introduce most characters. The hard part will be doing this top section with the characters as there's so many and will probably be tweaking this in every post. Sei by far has the biggest role and we do see much of her team too. Many others we really haven't seen too much of yet so will  break things down by teams and keep editing the details as we go along. Each team has four members, the bottom character is the leader while the top three are students at the Minamoto high school. As you can see the team names go by the alphabet.... A, B, C, D and there may be more.

Team ALPHA TANGO

Sei Shiraishi as Koharu Tachibana.... Heroine of the show for lack of a better word. Koharu was an avid model builder who got out of the hobby but resumed it in the first episode. She made a figurine called Alice and the next thing Koharu knew she had been whisked away to a parallel world where her classmates were shooting guns at each other!

Momoka Ito as Natsuna Usui.... The school's track star and will be competing in the 800 meter Japan championship. But will she as Natsuna has only one live left(?).

Natsuki Deguchi as Akiho Inada.... Good friend of Natsuna's and loves science.

Yuno Ohara as Alice.... Commander of the team who lives in a parallel world as do the other commanders. Koharu first met Alice when she built a model that resembled her and think that's how all of the students became part of their team.

Team BRAVO TANGO

Manami Igashira as Chizuru Mizuno.... Killed for the third time in this episode which means she's been 'erased' in the real world.

Anna Ishii as Matsuko Kadaowaki.... In the third episode she replaced Mizuno as the fourth member of Team Bravo. At one time she was good friends with Koharu but they had a falling out two years ago. Matsuko is by far the toughest of the fighters and also the best at making models which means he guns are the most powerful.

Yuuka Suzuki as Rin Otake....

Yura Someno as Aoi Umebayashi....

Rio Teramoto as Bianca.... Team commander

 Team CHARLIE TANGO

Azusa Ohara as Ichika Ikushima....

Rina Kannami as Futaba Ikushima....

Hina as Mitsue Amemiya....

Momoka Ishida as Charlotte.... Team commander

 Team DELTA TANGO

Ai Mikami as Rei Kitamoto....

Momoko Tanabe as Natsuki Higashino....

Utano Aoi as Kana Minami....

Sakura Ando as Daisy.... Team commander

Rest of the cast, twenty characters in all though won't be talking about them too often.

Aya Asahina as Mirei Hoshimiya.... Teacher for many of the students.

Masanari Wada as Kaoru Moriyama.... School's physician and is a model freak.

Gaku Hamada as the shop owner.... Owns the FFF shop where the girls purchase their models. He also has some ties to the games which are unknown at this point.

Would probably help to read those above recaps as I won't be talking too much of what's taken place, like this post they're not too long. Was going to add in a section about the battle rules but will wait for the next recap as more keep getting added in. But the main points are the games only take place once a week, Tuesday's at midnight. Few other minor ones but the most major rule is if you've been killed three times in the battles your life on Earth has been erased! Seems kind of hard to believe and that's a detail we'll hopefully hear about why before this series ends. We didn't see him in this or the next show but have a strong feeling the owner of the FFF store is behind the game. Plus we haven't learned how the commanders were created, by the owner or the girls making the models of them?

The main topic of this episode was what Koharu was referring to in the top screenshot, why don't they stop killing each other? Sooner or later all of the girls would be killed as once someone is 'erased' a replacement is brought in. Well, perhaps not everyone would be killed as who can defeat Matsuko? In that last episode she was able to capture the powerful Blast Girl Gun, she was unbeatable before and even more so now. On Earth Koharu brought her idea up to the other eleven students who played in the game, naturally her teammates Akiho and Natsuna were behind her. Was a tougher sell with the other girls, especially team Bravo as they now have that new weapon. But they and the others will all agree to stop killing each other if Matsuko also says yes to the plan.

Which she did as Koharu paid a visit to her house, first time in eons. That's because the pair were once best of friends but for some reason drifted apart, think it was mainly Matsuko's doing as her mother told Koharu her daughter has really changed the last two years. However Matsuko did agree not to shoot anyone unless fired upon first but asked Koharu did she really think that no other girl would shoot to kill? Matsuko did have a good point and can everyone TRUST each other enough not to fire their weapon? Any girl would be a sitting duck and it'd be so easy for another team to wipe their rivals away, what you would think would happen did. It's quickly Tuesday at midnight and time for the weekly battle, of course none of the commanders knew of the girls intentions.

Of the teams Bravo is by far the strongest with Matsuko and her new powerful weapon. Team Charlie is a bunch of nitwits who like to fool around and do stunts, they must be doing something right though to have survived for so long. But to me the most dangerous team could be Delta, they all wear glasses and that's them in the second to last screenshot. The trio acts so nice and dainty at times but according to Matsuko were not to be trusted though Koharu believed otherwise. Team Delta did break the 'non shooting' rule as they began firing upon the Alpha and Charlie teams but were missing badly, that infuriated their commander Daisy as how couldn't they miss such easy targets? But their plan and mainly Rei's were not to allow the commanders to know of their secret, as long as all teams kept firing and missing no girl would be killed.

Team Delta even threw a surprise party for the other teams to celebrate no student being killed and pulling a fast one on their commanders. But as mentioned team Delta are not a trio to be trusted and you can see what I mean in that above screenshot. The other eight students, Matsuko was hiding in the hallway, were put at ease with the refreshments and laid down their weapons. Huge, huge mistake as with only about five minutes to go in the game Rei jumped up and shot a bullet through the skull of the Bravo girl Akiho, her two teammates quickly began firing too. They were able to take out the Charlie girls which left only five more for a overwhelming victory.

The rules were slightly different for this game as even if you kill another girl it won't count if you yourself has been killed. Team Delta had eliminated four students but none on the Bravo team and only one of Alpha's. One key thing they forgot that was that Matsuko wasn't at their party, she was around the corner listening to everything and once the action died down she jumped into action. With her new and powerful Blast Girl Gun team Delta was no match for Matsuko as she quickly killed the three, doing that also gave her team credit for Akiho's death. Matsuko was just in time as after killing the team the bell went off ending the battle, as you can see above only her Bravo team got any points.

That ends this recap which was just a tad shorter but it was still such a fun show. Natsuna didn't say too much but you can see her in enough screenshots, she's barely hanging on with only one life left and had been shot but it wasn't a major wound. She's played by Momoka who just had her first intro post last week, promise to have another one very soon as she's really become a huge fave of mine. Through four recaps have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by this series as it's much better than I thought it would be. Will have the next pair of recaps in about four days, have viewed the episodes already.
