"Girl Gun Lady" drama: Episode seven of ten recap

Air Dates: April 7th until June 9, 2021 on MBS at 1:00 am, total of ten episodes
Subs are done by Bandai and the shows can be found at their YT channel

Main Cast:  Each team has four members, the bottom character is the leader while the top three are students at the Minamoto high school. As you can see the team names go by the alphabet.... A, B, C, D and there may be more.

Team ALPHA TANGO

Sei Shiraishi as Koharu Tachibana.... Heroine of the show for lack of a better word. Koharu was an avid model builder who got out of the hobby but resumed it in the first episode. She made a figurine called Alice and the next thing Koharu knew she had been whisked away to a parallel world where her classmates were shooting guns at each other!

Momoka Ito as Natsuna Usui and Fuyumi Usui.... The school's track star and will be competing in the 800 meter Japan championship. But will she as Natsuna has only one live left(?). The answer is no as Natsuna was killed at the end of the sixth show. But her replacement on the Alpha team was her younger sister Fuyumi starting in the seventh episode.

Natsuki Deguchi as Akiho Inada.... Good friend of Natsuna's and loves science.

Yuno Ohara as Alice.... Commander of the team who lives in a parallel world as do the other commanders. Koharu first met Alice when she built a model that resembled her and think that's how all of the students became part of their team.

Team BRAVO TANGO

Manami Igashira as Chizuru Mizuno.... Killed for the third time in this episode which means she's been 'erased' in the real world.

Anna Ishii as Matsuko Kadaowaki.... In the third episode she replaced Mizuno as the fourth member of Team Bravo. At one time she was good friends with Koharu but they had a falling out two years ago. Matsuko is by far the toughest of the fighters and also the best at making models which means he guns are the most powerful.

Yuuka Suzuki as Rin Otake....

Yura Someno as Aoi Umebayashi....

Rio Teramoto as Bianca.... Team commander

 Team CHARLIE TANGO

Azusa Ohara as Ichika Ikushima....

Rina Kannami as Futaba Ikushima....

Hina as Mitsue Amemiya....

Momoka Ishida as Charlotte.... Team commander

 Team DELTA TANGO

Ai Mikami as Rei Kitamoto.... Very ruthless killer

Momoko Tanabe as Natsuki Higashino....

Utano Aoi as Kana Minami....

Sakura Ando as Daisy.... Team commander

Rest of the cast, twenty characters in all though won't be talking about them too often.

Aya Asahina as Mirei Hoshimiya.... Teacher for many of the students.

Masanari Wada as Kaoru Moriyama.... School's physician and is a model freak.

Gaku Hamada as the shop owner.... Owns the FFF shop where the girls purchase their models. He also has some ties to the games which are unknown at this point.

 Links to the previous recaps:

Would probably help to read those above recaps as I won't be talking too much of what's taken place, like this post they're not too long. Tried a different format in the above section with the fonts and coloring, thought it would make it easier to read and hope it worked. Was just looking at it again on the home page and to me it does look easier to read. Will try doing this format with dramas in the future but not many have the same kind of characters/stories.

Have also viewed the eighth episode but won't be watching the final two shows until this pair of recaps are done. What an intense and interesting drama this has turned out to be, seems like a popular show so wonder if there could be any chance for a second season? Where we left off was with the teams Bravo, Charlie and Delta in a 'Rabbit Hunt Battle' to eliminate the Alpha team who was able to escape from the school grounds. But the contest ended in a draw as the Alpha team is still kicking though it's now down to two members! At the end of the last show Natsuna, who only had one life remaining, was gunned down by Rei of the Delta team. It appeared Natsuna was dead but I had my doubts as Momoka is popular and didn't think they would kill her off so soon. Was correct with half of that assumption and will explain what took place during the recap.

Also at the end of the sixth episode Akiho and Koharu were able to break into the FFF shop to investigate it's mysterious back room, that was the whole purpose of escaping from the school. What they found was a semi-arena full of all of the dead Gun Girls(!), in the top screenshot is Koharu looking at the girl she replaced who was Masami. The game's best fighter Matsuko from the Bravo team joined them and she knew much about these 'dead girls' but won't reveal her secrets, before long thought the game ended and everyone was back in the real world. But of course there was no Natsuna in it who had been 'erased' from history, still want to know how that happens? But when you're a participant in the Girl Gun battles you still remember all who have died though everyone else on Earth has never heard of them, even if you're a relative. Had to come back to add this in. Above is Matsuko asking the school's physician Moriyama if he's the mysterious Mr. M model maker who is one of the best in the world. He denied it and haven't seen much of him to date but have a feeling he'll be playing a major role in the story in the final two shows.

In that bottom screenshot Koharu is asking her Alpha commander Alice what happens when you're not the leader of the winning team, will you get broken into pieces like a model? That's what Matsuko had told her and while Alice wouldn't give an answer we have to presume Matsuko is correct. But on the other hand if you're the commander of the winning team you have the option to become a human which is Alice's biggest dream, then again can models dream? It's on to this week's battle which for the third time is to claim the enemies base but you'll still get points for killing an opponent. But how can team Alpha expect to compete with only two members? Good question and according to Alice there was no need to worry as a replacement should be arriving very soon but of course that girl will be a rookie. That girl is in these top two screenshots so I was half right about Momoka

Half right because she's still in the show(hurray!) but is now playing the character of Fuyumi. She's Natsuna's younger sister who is sixteen and a freshman at the high school, the other Alpha gals are seniors. As I mentioned even relatives forget about a person who has been 'erased' from the real world, Fuyumi was naturally puzzled when they asked about her older sister. If you remember Natsuna's pics from the first six recaps you'll notice the biggest difference in looks is their hair. But both sisters are extremely gung-ho and athletic, when Fuyumi learned it was a game she couldn't wait to get going until she learned..... she can actually die! Like all of the other players Fuyumi bought her Alice model at the FFF shop and also a weapon there.

It's called a Change Girl Gun and none of her mates knew what that meant, they will in the next recap but Matsuko already knows about it's powers. The first time Fuyumi tried it was at the school's fence which is actually a force field, that's this first screenshot. But because of that and getting fired at Fuyumi has quickly realized this is no ordinary game and it's a battle to the death! The two girls in the second screenshot are from the Charlie team, they're Alpha's opponents in this battle and what a bunch of goof balls they are. The team has more fun pulling gymnastic stunts and such which is why they're in last place. But those two girls have cornered Koharu and Fuyumi, would either fire at the enemy? Fuyumi did, a bullet didn't come out but instead a flare which blinded the Charlie girls, as mentioned none of the Alpha team knows yet what the Change Girl Gun can do.

But that flare proved to be effective and what it did was blind the Delta girls, with them distracted Koharu opened fire! It's her first time shooting to kill and as you can see in the bottom screenshot the Charlie member Futuba was stunned that Koharu actually fired. Before the match began Koharu changed her mind set where she said she was All In and was prepared to take out anyone standing in her way. With two girls out of commission the Alpha team was able to capture the Charlie base and giving them the victory which ends this shortish recap. The intro may have been a bit longer though but this does seem like the briefest recap to date but it was definitely another action packed episode. Recap for the eighth episode is the next post.
