Keyakizaka46: Their ninth blood curdling post for 2023....
Bit of a slowdown to end the month but hope to have a pair of posts for tomorrow which is the final day for June with posts. Even doing this one was a bit difficult, very few recent mag spreads plus there's no new events or modeling pics but may have close to seventy or more photos for today. Felt a bit like Dr. Frankenstein creating this post as I had to gather so much to make this though wouldn't call it a Monster!!!! Have never done any posts for animes or mangas though I do enjoy them quite a bit, especially mangas and you should see my collection! Mentioned Frankenstein as I just got Junji Ito's manga of the very old story, the book also had a few other tales. I really enjoyed his version and that would make for a terrific movie, also just picked up and read his "Tombs" book that had a dozen stories. Have now read eight of Ito's mangas and have two more to read, of course "Tomie" shouldn't be missed plus I love that film series.
Gulp, she does have a bit of a mean streak and guess I better obey her order.... or else! Not going to have any recap once again for the 'Soko' variety show, it's only been subbed up to episode #133. The above is from #137 that aired ten days ago, that and this week's shows have been the best ones in a while and when they get subbed will recap them. Episode #137 was mainly about acting and how quick the members could ad-lib, most segments were only 15-30 seconds. But Yui had a scene where it went on for over two minutes and will have more screenshots in her next post.... unless she wants to waste some ammo on me! 😰 She played a detective who had been gunned down in the line of duty and speaking of acting she'll be appearing in her first play that begins at the end of July.
Like the mad doctor 😈 have assembled many things to make this somewhat big though it may only appeal more to your die-hard fans. A member I rarely talked about in these group posts was Aoi Harada who graduated about a year ago and I thought she was so similar to Yuka from Hina. Always did like her but she never did much to get my attention such has appear in magazines or at events, a likable young woman but one many overlooked. Back on May 7th Aoi hit the age of 23 and she's doing very well for herself. She's now an announcer for Fuji-TV and also has a part time gig on the 'Mezamashi TV' variety show. Have some recent pics from her IG page and many are from the sets of her shows, isn't she looking so super duper these days?!!!!!!! Those photos in the middle are for when she graduated from Hosei University back in March, could be wrong but think Yuuka may have been the only other member to graduate from college.
In the last group post had some cards for the oldest third generation member Rika Ishimori who turned 21 back in January. Have more pics of her for today which are from the Keya 'Diary' blog, few are some merchandise you can purchase at their site. Rika is the only Keya member to come from the prefecture of Gumna which isn't too far away from Tokyo. That seems like an interesting area as it's retained a lot of it's old time character which is sorely missing these days....
The second oldest third generation member is Yuzuki Nakashima who turned twenty back on February 17th. Have some of her cards from earlier this year but no new ones have come out for a while, seeing as how both these gals are 20+ in age will try including them in future posts.
Two mini magazine spreads for today though hard to call them magazines as they're freebies from record stores. The first four pics are from HMV, the other three are from Tsutaya Records.
Plan on having another group post a week from now so then will talk more about their Paris trip and other tidbits. With July 1st coming up that means there will be a new batch of 'Uni's on Air' game pics so perhaps there will be two posts next week. In that last group post also talked about a new group game coming out in July called 'Saku Koi', it's a dating simulation game. No new info has come out in the last week and hopefully will have more details next week. Had many member's promo pics for the game in the last post, here are the remaining seven members.
Keya's 15th single, sixth since the name change to Sakura, was released yesterday. Title of the main song is "Start Over" which just features members from the first two generations though the 3G gals had two songs on the single. Karin is the center for the song and first day sales for the single were solid as it sold close to 353,000 copies, they'll never approach the sales levels of five years ago. But that total is 67,000+ more copies sold than the previous single and to date is their best first day sales. As I had been saying for over a year the group needed more exposure and had to become busier which has been the case for the last few months and as you can see being busy has paid off!
"Nobody's Fault" was the first single with the Sakura name. That's sold a little over 500,000 copies which is their best selling single to date so the new one has an excellent chance of topping that mark. Will end off with this set which are the member's individual photos for the single from the group site. For the second time Hikari is on hiatus so didn't appear on the single. The first generation members have their own tune which is quite good, am planning on having a post next month with just them so will have that video then. After the pics have the PV for one of the other tunes which is titled "DroneSenkai Chuu" which just features the members of the first two generations. It's an okay tune though nothing special but did enjoy the video which is subbed in English.
