Kyoko Saito: Another in the 'Who deserves more posts?' series....
There are many in that 'Who deserves more posts?' category but for the most part have been able to do posts the last few months for my current huge faves. This is Kyoko's 38th solo post which is rather impressive for an Idol but have been doing these posts for five years and as I've said before seems that total should be higher. It's been a bit slow for most members of Hina the last two weeks and the main reason for that is they're prepping up for their next single that will be coming out in July 26th. So would think in another week or so there could be a flood of posts, naturally for the group but hoping most will be solo ones for the members. Had to throw in a brushing their teeth pic and will be working on that list for my all time faves in that genre.
Number one Kyoko is saying and without a doubt if she could up her post count she'd have that position on every yearly faves list! While not a huge post with many new things did want to start upping that post count, this makes eight solo ones since the 'Nao Year' began on December 1st. So while Kyoko probably has no chance of being #1 this year the goal is to see her move up one position as she was fourth on last year's faves list and she does have a solid chance of doing that.
So while I'm thinking this may not be a large post it just may be so, need to do more posts for her in this vein where there's a little bit of many things. To me a fine photo series is the one for the 'Uni's on Air' web game and how many thousands of those pics have been posted? But the last few months the site has been so much slower at adding their monthly pics so for now don't have many for the Hina members for July, we'll have an encore viewing of her June pics.
So while no new Hina cards there's so many from the past that have never been posted. Have a bunch of them for Kyoko today and the first eleven are from the Spring/Summer of 2018 when the group was still known as Hiragana46. The bottom three are promo cards for the DVD boxset of their "Re:Mind" drama and that's a series I really need to view again.
"Am I Ready" is the title of Hina's tenth single that will be coming out on July 26th. Have a few promo pics for it here and sure many more will be coming out soon. You will notice the entire second row is made up of first generation members.
On May 21st Kyoko performed a solo show for MTV Japan's unplugged series and will talk about that at the end of the post. It didn't air until June 24th and here's the link to an interesting interview she did for the concert with the My Navi site: MN interview
June marked Kyoko's fourth anniversary as a model for the ar magazine. Have some superb new modeling pics from their site, few were in her July spread for the magazine which was in her last post but these are 'clean versions' of the pics.
One more episode of the "Actress" needs to be subbed, once that's done will begin viewing the series and do recaps for all eight episodes. Kyoko has always posted fabulous pics at her IG page and she's outdone herself the last two weeks! The top two pics are already among my favorite ones of the year and are backstage from a special 'Music Day' show that took place last week.... hard to keep writing as I can't take my eyes off those top two pics, whewwww..... 😍
Kyoko will be the first cover girl for a new magazine that's titled Gravure Champion. It's first issue doesn't come out until July 31st and here's the cover but no other pics yet.
No new mag spreads so let's go back in time for such a super duper one which many may have never seen and is from a special Flash edition called 'Best of Winter 2019'.
Will end off with some info about that MTV Unplugged show that took place on May 21st at the Pia Arena MM which is in Yokohama and can hold close to 10,000 fans. The performance didn't air until June 24th but it was well with the wait. It was the third time Kyoko had been on an MTV show, her second solo concert. It's rare when you see a J-Pop Idol perform a live show with a band and orchestra, do have a copy of it and have viewed it twice. Have to say I really enjoyed the concert and will watch it a few more times, she does have a superb voice. The show lasted for almost 75 minutes and fourteen songs were performed, some old classics from other artists but also a few Hina songs. Such as "Boku Nanka" and "Midnight" which is the only single to date Kyoko has had the center position. These screenshots are from the first half of the show and will have more in her next post though think it'd be much better if you viewed the concert. Don't know if the entire show is on YT but most of the songs are, after the pics is a video of her and the band performing "Midnight".
