Thought this drama was going to go at least 10 episodes then found out that it wasn't, this here was the finale for the series which is a shame as I really enjoyed the show, probably easily be my #1 for this quarter.
This is the second of the two parter that started with episode 8, Haruko(Emi) is trying to find out how a body could have gotten mummified in an apartment where the conditions should have made it impossible for a body to end up like that. The autopsy had proven that the murder had taken place a month ago and the prime suspect had an airtight alibi as he was out of the country when the murder was supposed to have occurred. The prime suspect was a college professor who also was trying to make a mockery of Haruko, he planned everything out quite well and everyone including the police were stumped over this case. One major development came out though which was the undoing of the professor, the murdered woman was actually seen a few weeks after the murder was supposed to have taken place and through the efforts of Haruko and her detective friend Aoki they were able to work what the dastardly plan was and solved the crime. The professor was able to mummify the body in a quick span of time by 'controlling' the weather, he had set up the conditions in the apartment so that the body could mummify in about a 10 day span and only by Haruko's expertise in meteorology were they able to solve the case, once again she was the reluctant heroine.
That's all I'm going to reveal for this episode, more did happen as we finally learned about Haruko's past and what led her to become a weatherwoman. Also learned a few things about the other major characters in the show, would rather not give away too many spoilers so won't but the show did end off on a good note so it'd probably be better if you watched the series. Would recommend this drama highly, may have been Emi's best to date and I really enjoyed this show, would give it a final rating of a 9/10, hopefully if you haven't checked it out you will as it really was one solid series.

Emi Takei: Otenki Oneesan episode 8 screenshots and recap
Going to keep this recap very short as it's a two part episode, thought something was up when the case that needed to be solved didn't appear until almost the 20 minute in the show, wasn't as good as some of the other crimes that Haruko(Emi) needed to solve but perhaps that's because it's stretched out over 2 episodes.
Haruko is becoming quite the celebrity after saving the life of one of the announcers on her morning news show, many mags and such are lining up to get her to do interviews and spreads but so far she's turned them all down. The police unit who she's helped out has become quite jealous of her as there was one mag article on Haruko and it gave her most of the credit in solving many of the current cases that the unit has solved so her detective friend Aoki has been forbidden to work with her.
The case this time was about the murder of a 26 year old college student, she was a very low key type of person but had gone missing for about a month and was found in a very rich apartment wearing some flasy clothes. What made this case crime very interesting is that the body was found in a mummified condition, no one knew how this was possible as the circumstances where her body was found would have made it impossible for her to be in that state, even Haruko is stumped.
And that's all I going to reveal now as the case didn't come in until the show was getting to be close to halfway over plus there's going to be so much more that's going to come out in the next episode about the murder. The professor of the slain student though appears to be a bit of a shady character but a very smart person, not sure if he's the murderer but most signs are pointing to that plus even if he didn't commit the murder think he's trying to set Haruko for some sort of fall, stay tuned next week for the hopefully thrilling conclusion to this case.

Emi Takei: Otemki Oneesan episode 7 screenshots and recap
Two stories for the last episode, to be honest the crime case that needed to be solved and of course was by Haruko(Emi) wasn't enough of a mystery and it actually took away from the second story that was going on.
The case revolved around a politician who was found dead in the bathroom of his mistress, it appeared as though he died from being electrocuted but the cause was actually a drowning. Haruko used her weather wisdom to deduce that because it had been lightning out the night before electricity had built up in the water and when he was going to the bathroom somehow the water had retained the electricity and he collapsed from the charge. However he wasn't dead but his wife had followed him and while he was still groggy had pushed his head into the toilet and drowned him. Haruko didn't figure out that it was the wife who had committed the murder, she actually confessed to it before the really investigated what could have happened, to be honest this was a boring case and could have been skipped, really didn't add much to the episode.
At the end of episode 6 one of Haruko's co-workers on the morning news had been stalked by an ex-boyfriend who had just been hired by the station, the announcer Akane went to Haruko for help but for some strange reason Haruko declined to help her, never came out why. Haruko knew though that there was something very sinister about Akane's stalker but didn't tell anyone, shortly after all this Akane was kidnapped by the ex-boyfriend and he was planning a double suicide for them if she wouldn't marry him. Well of course she wouldn't but even though tied up she managed to escape and luckily for her Haruko had told her detective friend Aoki about the kidnap and both were there to save her, what really saved her was a lightning bolt hitting the tree the stalker was under leaving him quite hurt but he somehow managed to survive.
All in all an okay episode, not as interesting nor suspenseful as some of the previous shows but it was still an enjoyable watch as every show has been to date in this series. Not sure if there's 3 or 4 episodes left, but one thing that needs to come out is a bit about Haruko's past, she has some deep mystery about her and think it'll eventually come out, seems as though her younger days were not pleasant ones. As we always do here's some screenshots of Emi from this episode, nay make it easier to follow as I don't like to give away every single thing that happened in a show.
