Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Yui Kobayashi... Miku Tanaka... Nagi Inoue....Maria Makino.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Nao Kanzaki: 'Top Twenty Faves list for 2016' #10....?

This is the only repeat position from last year as Manami finished tenth then too, very few Idols on that list so being tenth this year may mean a bit more. From the end of June to the beginning of October Manami was a bit busy but overall we didn't see enough of her this year. Next year will be a different story as she's going to be in two dramas, a TV movie and a regular cinema film, that's just in the first four months.
The first drama is only going to be a four episode series but it'll be Manami's second time with a lead role. The show is called "Honjitsu wa, Ohigara mo Yoku" and the series will be airing on WOWOW with a start date of January 14th. Will check it out but odds are it won't be subbed and will keep everyone updated on any news for the show such as an event or two for it.

Manami's second drama for next year is titled "Semju Crazy Boys". That show is starting in February on NHK-BS and on October 25th there was a press conference for the series.

The TV movie is scheduled for New Years, title for it is "Fishing Baka Diary" which will be airing on TV-Tokyo and there was a press conference for it on November 27th.

Those pics at the very top are beyond exceptional but Manami is one of the more conservative gals I post about which is one reason she'll always be high on any of my lists. Manami is the second oldest to make the top twenty as she's thirty, the one older than her haven't got to yet but she's 32. Never enough mag spreads these days and when there is one it's usually way too small like this pair of pics from the December issue of Ginger.

The only problem with posting about my long time faves is that there's nothing I haven't mentioned about them, especially Manami who has the third most posts for non-Nogi members. If you haven't perused her older posts would highly recommend doing so as there's everything you've ever wanted to know about her along with some fabulous pics. Speaking of pics will end off with some of course perfect Manami pics as all of hers are that way. Naturally no gravure type videos but after the pics have one for the "Code Blue" drama press conference from 2008 which was the first thing I ever saw her in, that love at first sight is a true statement.

Manami Higa: "Kanon" movie premiere pics and video

Really no superlatives left to describe Manami, perhaps some new ones need to be created for her, so let's get right to the action. "Kanon" actually came out yesterday but Manami and the director were the only ones to make an appearance, that event happened at the TOHO Cinemas in Shinjuku.
So guess you could say this may be the real premiere as Manami was joined by the rest of the cast for today's showing. This took place at the Kadokawa Cinemas in Shinjuku, most premieres tend to take place in that section of the city. Unsure whether this is supposed to be a big hit but there are a few videos for it so perhaps it's supposed to be. Seems to be a slower movie that revolves around three sisters who get reunited at the funeral of their grandmother.

Least to me Manami looks just as or should I say so much more alluring dressed conservatively than most women do barely covered up. She's really been dressing more classy these last few years though honestly wouldn't mind her letting loose now and again. As you may have figured these pics from the premiere are absolutely tremendous and so isn't the video that follows them.
