Masami Nagasawa: (too) Few recent happenings....

Masami seems to have moved into being a middle aged woman well before she is one. Granted she's always looked terrific sans for that stretch where her hair was even shorter than mine. But think the days of her jaw-dropping pictorials has come to an end, hope that's not the case but it sure seems so. So many actresses lately in their late twenties or early thirties have been trying to show their fans how sexy they still are, Masami has done the complete opposite.

She did have those ultra alluring pics from her "Cabaret" play back in January 2017 so least we still know what a knockout she still is. Guess it doesn't matter too much as I do post about many conservative gals here and will always adore Masami but do miss seeing her steamier side. At the top is a trailer for her next film "Fifty First Kisses" which will be released on June 1st. By the trailer looks to be a sappy love story but then again one that appears to be a sad story too.

Masami's 2019 film won't be coming out for a while but looks to be an intense movie. It's titled "Masquerade Hotel" which is about a series of murders, she doesn't play the killer but that's be an interesting role for her to do. Lack of mag spreads recently but that's been the case for two years now but do have an A+ set here which is from the January edition of Frau.

Masami has been much busier this year as she's appeared at about five events, think her last post in January had one of them. On March 3rd she was at the premiere of the anime film "Doraeman Nobita's Treasure Island" and that's a long running series. Thought Masami looked much better at the premiere and in the movie she does the voice of Fiona who is the wife of a pirate after Doraeman.

Between 2005 and 2014 Masami averaged close to two dramas a year but her next one will be her first regular series since 2014. The show is titled "The Confidence Man JP", she plays Dako in the drama who is a con woman and that seems like an interesting role for her. Masami has the lead in the drama which will be airing on Fuji-TV at 9:00 pm on Mondays, that's a very prestigious time slot. First episode will be on April 9th and on March 26th there was a special screening for the show. Plenty of pics here from the event along with a short video of it, had wanted to have a promo for the series but they've all been blocked as I live outside of Japan.

Masami Nagasawa: A little of this and that #1....

Didn't check but bet it's been at least seven months since the last Masami post. As long time readers know she was my #1 for so many years and though I often mention that some other fave could be my all time number one in all honesty that honor still belongs to Masami. Back in June she cut her hair and it was so short it really turned me off, don't know why she would mess with her perfect looks..
So because of that skipped doing posts for this long stretch and in a way hadn't thought about Masami all that much. But the cream of the crop always seem to rise back up and since September Masami has been looking super duper again so can't give a reason why there haven't been any recent posts. Labeled the title #1 as there will be at least two more posts coming up before the end of the month. One will be for a few other events from the past four months while there will be one next weekend for the premiere of her new film.

The last decade seems Masami's hair length seems to change every few months, personally she looks good whatever length it may be. But in June when she got it cut so short it made me feel so dispirited and for the most part forgot all about her. But Masami is back and looking much better as I said above, the proof is in some superb recent pics.
The past four years Masami has only appeared in one regular drama but will be starring in a series titled "The Confidence Man JP" which will begin in April. On to some recent pics and there are many more than these today which is why another post for her will be coming up soon, first off is this huge spread from the September 7th edition of Tokyo Walker Plus. As short as Masami's hair looks in this set it's still ten times as long as it was in June.

Pair of small spreads, four pics from the August Numero Tokyo and two from Hot Pepper Beauty for January.

Still wish her hair was a bit longer but it's getting there. On November 18th Masami was at the 'Tama Film Awards' show where she won a best actress award. Actually the award wasn't just for one film but for her performances in "Gintama" and "Sanpo Suru Shinryakusha".

Was looking at all of Masami's works over the years which is quite plentiful, I've seen her in nine dramas and seventeen films which is probably more than any other actress. Would say her best two dramas have been "Dragon Zakura and "Boko no Imoto while my two fave films with her were "Touch" and "Magare Spoon!" but there are so many others that are worth a view.
On January 20th Masami's next film will be released, it's titled "Uso wo Aisuru Onna". It also stars Issei Takahashi who has to be one of the busiest actors from the past decade. On the 14th there was a special screening for the film at the Space FS Shiodome in Toyko, the screening was just for females. Plenty of pics from today's event and following them is the film's trailer.
